but post bye he played almost exclusively as a forward and his scoring suffered.

Incorrect

McDonald still played down back for the majority of the games, he was moved forward as a result of him playing poorly down back. His scoring actually improved when he went forward, e.g. The game against Essendon

In that case- is there any players drafted that may help or hinder his scoring? He may have just jumped to the top of my list.

I had decided to pass on all the mid price options, but I've just spent a bit of time looking over the NAB data

Seedsman averaged 85 scoring 109 per 100 mins
Harwood averaged 74 scoring 108 per 100 mins
Cutler averaged 92 scoring 92 per 100 mins
Sheridan averaged 93 scoring 106 per 100 mins
Sutcliffe averaged 92 scoring 103 per 100 mins
Lonergan averaged 95 scoring 179 per 100 mins
McKenzie averaged 122 scoring 154 per 100 mins
Bugg averaged 84 scoring 101 per 100 mins

Starting 1, even 2 of these saves cash, but picking the right ones would be the challenge

Something for me to think about
the only one im considering is Lonergan

Great data Raisy like you i am locking in Lonergan

OK, so Broad didn't make the cut, and I don't think Ruggles will be a good selection due to JS

Dea, Hartley, Adams and Brown is all that's left

Oscar Mac might get named, but I wouldn't pick him anyway. Tippa stays at F8 for me to have DPP

With the 4 that I am confident in, that means I need 4 players before then. 3 prems and Weits or 2 prems, 1 mid price and Weits are options but I am actually looking at going with 2 prems and 2 mid pricers. Feels really weird because I've never been one to start mid pricers, but with such a lack of rookies all over this year i think we need to, to ensure we have depth

Is everyone being quiet on Suckling because he's a huge POD or because they seem more upside in others? Mid price, DPP, Will avg more in dogs team than Hawks, especially without vests?  Would love everyones thoughts. Cheers

Sadly this is the same way most backlines will have to be structured RD! Sucks that there aren't any other rookies to choose from.

For me though, I think 3 premos, Weits, Dea, then the other rookies is he way to go. Don't want to risk the rookies sucking and a dodgy mid-priced pick in there too IMO

I won't be picking him ... But I really think he could be a great pick that has had little talk

Thanks mate. I only see upside in him, only 12% own him. Fingers crossed.

Wow his ownership is higher than what I would have expected

I'm going with shaw boyd bartel weit and rookies. Its risky considering the age of bart n boyd but if they stay on the park it will pay off.

GCSkiwi

I've downgraded Shaw to Laird and gone Broad to Weits for now, if all the bombers get named then I might take a chance on Adams playing and bring Shaw back in.

#642
Boyd and Ruggles (pending selection - Adams on field with Ruggles d8)
Birchall/someone cheaper and Weitering both on field
Lonergan and Seedsman on field

Pretty much the last decision I've got for now. Leaning towards the two mid pricers

I actually really like Seeds but he just hasn't fitted into my side, was tossing up downgrading Rich to Seeds which may yet happen. But I think you're probably safer with Birch but I dunno, it's a lottery.

Lon+Seeds - potentially both will need to be traded, but potentially both could be keepers (unlikely though, lots of Suns to come back that could hurt Lon)

Birch + Weits you know you will need one trade and might be stuck with that awkward guy who isn't top tier but also not really worthy of a trade ie becomes a luxury upgrade during finals. Do you see Birch improving? 85-90 is a bit too low imo when there should be plenty who get 95+

Boyd and Ruggles just Nah :P Hasn't Beveridge said Boyd is likely to be rested, and no guarantees on Ruggles.

RaisyDaisy

Pretty much why I've gone with the 2 mid pricers. I think they both have enough upside and they also mean I only need 2 rookies on field

I don't want Birchall, but anyone under his price I could get but again nobody there interests me

Lonergan and Seedsman Pretty much locked.  Worst case scenario they're easy upgrades, but I think they'll do well
