Otherwise running with Laird, Bartel, Gibbo, Emac/Dea, Weits, Hartley, (Two rookies)

Would love Harwood but just cannot find the funds.

Could possibly go

Laird, Bartel, Smith, Harwood, Weits, Hartley

That look okay?? Worried about two crows.

RaisyDaisy

I've had Gibson in and out of my side

Tempting me for sure

Dea is a lock

eaglesman

Also had him in and out my side. I have rance and laird as my prems. But I am considering Seedsman and if I go that way I may go laird to Gibson so as to not have 2 crows down back.

almonds

whats the seedsman hype? Anyone think he can push his average up to around 85-90, anything less and i dont really see the point

Josh Gibson anyone?

Will average over 90 and went 142, 85, 145 in NAB. Will play loose/zoning defender all year.

Had him last year and was reasonably pleased. Ball will be down there a bit more this year I think, as silly as that sounds, meaning more points for him to score.

Anyone else??

Plus, is Dea good for D5? Didn't watch him in NAB but he looked ok. Is he safe for 70+ each week?

I'll start with Gibbo, I have been considering him as well but I am only looking at going the two players over 400k in defense and Bartel is locked into one. They lose Lake so there is a bit of a chance they do get him to do a couple of lock down jobs now. especially if Chip gets injured, but it seems like they are confident that Brand can step in and fill a hole.

He isn't the most consistent player from week to week which will see him dip in price at some point in the season and looking at his scores without Lake he does tend to score worse. However if Bartel happens to be out for the Monday game I'll probably look at him ahead of Birch

Dea I'm still not going to bother with. I would rather spend the extra cash for Weitering then pick a guy who has shown nothing in terms of scoring in the past. There is no way he keeps up the insane DE% come the start of the season and the real pressure is on. This is a guy that managed to score 10 SC points in a full game of football. In the past he has averaged 43, 37, 49, 47 and 56. He did average 64 unsubbed last year but he is now playing in a worse side. If he was the same price as Mitch Brown/Hartley I would lock him in, but I'm going to get the same production from them (if not better) and he is too pricey to sit on my bench.

I think he can go 85-90 yeah ... Feel like he just needs consistent games and he was played a bit up on the wing in nab. Mid price selections always difficult but I do give him a chance to average 85-90 ... Just whether i wish to take the ride

Gibbo is a good solid pick. He'll have the odd low scoring game but he'll also pump out some big scores against the bottom teams when he sits in defense by himself all game.

I was not interested in Dea at all, thought he was a rubbish player who would only score crap. However he's put together a couple of solid scores in NAB drubbings, with high DE as well. Surprised me a bit actually but he's now locked in my team.

100% true, I'm excited for an interesting year of SC

RaisyDaisy

I'm not too concerned with Dea's past

He hasn't even played 30 games, and was never best 22. He has continued outside of the AFL and has got a second chance and now has the JS he never had

At 183k, I'm happy to lock that in

Even though it's not SC, I thought this was interesting

Houli, Shaw, Johannisen, Harwood and McKenzie are the top 5 ranked permanent defenders for #AFLFantasy points per 100 minutes during NAB.

14 games in 2012 (although it was only year 3) at an average of 49 is pretty bad though. Like I said, if he was priced at 124k I would probably pick him, but for the extra 40k I would rather Weitering. He has been ridiculously impressive in all facets. I watched the Journey tonight on Fox Footy, you can see he oozes leadership qualities and if he can turn into something similar to Harry Taylor we have a gem. He won't average 80's like Taylor did in year 1 but 70's is a possibility with the role he will play. I am actually expecting him to get the gig on Buddy round 2 which will be a baptism of fire so it will be interesting to see how he scores after that game.

Can Cannon stop f'ing tempting me!

Can we get bonus points for all kicks over 60m

batt

The Cannon was fringe 22 before NAB.  In Rocket's doghouse.

Things can change very quickly.  1 bad week and he could be out of the side IMO.

bit worried about that, but has all the talent in the world. will be apart of a better GC unit and has been working hard.

Rocket being on his back last year might have been just what the doctor ordered.
