So many cheap 'potential keeper' options this year. McKenzie, Walker, Lonergan, Sheridan, Williams, Malceski to name a few. If someone could pick two of these guys to go 90+ and one around the 85 mark, it would be a massive success. I currently only have Sheridan in my team.

My picks...

had lonergan and was thinking if he goes 85 he will only go up like 50k.

Unless im getting donuts im reconsidering.

Have Harwood as he is 280k and if he averages 80 then he goes up 100k.

Do you think though that Lonergan can start out at a higher average without Swallow and Jaeger on board?

85 is my higher average. Im expecting that to drop to like 80. remember swallow jaeger presita were all out last year and he still put up only one 100+ score and that was 103.

I actually have just taken him out of my team as cash generation is more important.

Yeah good food for thought, I'm also considering Daniel Howe in my backs.  I might end up spending real cheap in the back with 2 keepers and Howe/Harwood combo at D3 and D4.

You reckon?  I think they are going to have to blood and trust some new guys in order to move on after this generation of players, spots have opened for him down back and with injury, and he hasn't done his chances any harm in NAB...will wait and see though where he is named if named round 1.

This is my structure at the moment - Mackenzie instead of Harwood though

anyone considering of starting 4 premiums in the backline? It's been dwelling on my mind lately although, I don't think ill pull the trigger and do it.

Nope. Too much cash tied up in a position that varies so much. I have 2 and one of those is Brodie Smith  :-X

ronl

You're a brave man giving Brodie another go, after last year.  I still have nightmares about all that.

Southstorm

I'm tempted to go in with one premium and three or four mid pricers in defence.

I didn't start him last year and he is only 400k vs the 500k he was last year. He also started the season on fire before getting concussed.

You'd prob need to make sure you have more keepers than usual in other lines with the spare cash in case those mid pricers don't work out, but I'm considering the same thing.

When SC first opened I had Boyd, Bartel, Birchall, Smith with EMac at D5. In past years that the structure I've gone with and had a lot of success with (the low 400k D4 with Swallow, Newnes etc.) but I just can't get the funds for it anymore. More money into the midfield and rucks this year.

RaisyDaisy

Going back to having a 3rd prem forward I think, and dropping down to 2 prem defenders

Plenty of cheap and rookie options down back

Just need to figure out which defenders to select. Brown and Hartley are locked, and I think Dea, Broad and one of Adams/Collins should be fine too. Still have Tippa and Ruggles as possible super cheapo's too

D3 is doing my head in though. No idea who I want, but hopefully after this week's NAB matches I will get some clarity
