What do people think about Tommy Sheridan as a breakout contender and D4 candidate from Freo at $351K?
From rounds 17 onwards (without his sub affected score in round 21) he scored 108, 85, 79, 98, 100, 84, 101, 79 at an average of 92.

NAB1: 23 disposals at 78% efficiency, 3 marks and SC score of 92
NAB2: 28 disposals at 89% efficiency, 3 marks, and SC score of 120 early in the 4th quarter (not sure of his final score)

He will be a premo eventually but maybe this year he can go huge for a kpd and go 70?

Everyrhing he has done has been impressive

I've had him in since I first put my team together, would like to see another run against the swans to see how he goes but at this stage I'll start him.

Really hope Brown, Hartley and Tippa show something tomorrow because a lot of the other cheap defence rookie options are looking shakey

Brown and Hartley delivered. Tippa not so much

Don't think Brown or Hartley will have it that easy every week though.

Meh even 50 from a basement price rook is fine, You just don't want him on your field. I'd take 50 from my D8!

His name came up last week too, and he is a legit option

It's so hard picking which "premiums" to start down back that taking a shot or two on 300-400k guys might be the way to go

Could even start him at D3 if going light down back

I'm playing with the idea of him at d3 with Mackenzie d4. I see the backs as unprodictable so I'm spending less back there than forward

Does anyone like the look of Boyd's run early,
I know he is likely to get rested, but hopefully I will have some coverage by then, and he will have scored enough points to be worth the investment

All the nab has done for me so far is confirm to me what I suggested months and months ago. There won't be as many viable cheap rookies come the real stuff.

I was hoping i could get away with 5 rookies down back, but I am now starting to think that i need 4 best 22 players with Brown and Hartley at D5/6 and then two of Bonner/Broad/Collins/Adams/Tucker/Wagner etc whichever get named rd1

Seriously thinking about going with something like Simmo (Or other premo) Bartel, 300-400k defender then EMack type at D4

Let's say this from the outset, I haven't picked him at this stage.

But from what I have seen, I'm only confident on 3 backline rookies being walk up round 1 starters. Brown Hartley and weitering. Collins although he looked good is a good maybe. I am hopeful for broad. Think tucker is unlikely. Adams no hope and well tipmac is unlikely and won't score well in any case.

First thing I'll be adjusting in my side is to drop Heath shaw and reallocate some cash in the backline

Yeah Broad has me worried a touch..hope a rookie upgrade  may help..
