One guy really flying under the radar is Adam Saad.  Was great last year, registering a 77 average from 16 games including his last three games of 45, 63, and 42 when his body pretty much packed it in for the season.  Yes, he had hip surgery in the offseason but apparently he come through it well, and is on target to play some part in the Gold Coasts Nab challenge.

His game is suited to SC and I reckon with both Swallow and JOM looking like having delayed starts to the season he could very well improve his average to 85-90 which would put him on the edges of top 10 in the backs.  Shame about losing the DPP though.  Dont have him at the moment but will be watching his role closely up until round 1

Expensive for someone who may only edge the top 10 at best.

Body has got to be an issue too, had plenty of groin trouble last year.

Have mentioned him a few times but Zac Williams

Im seriously struggling with Simpson v Williams + 130k. Williams could average the same he is that good.

his numbers after green vest is amazing

89 89 103 74 81 103 86 84 83.

A low of 74 and every other game 80+ yes please. He averaged 19 touches to pump out a 88 average. 5.4 Marks a game is good with 3 tackles.

got 46 DT 74 SC last night

And with the lack of options in defence and has been in the system a while now would be for tempting for you.... Would take massive balls to pick him but could pay off massively

Ive had him in mind for a while and been looking at him as a difference maker to the noob Eski picks.
If he can cement a best 22 spot I will likely start him as I can see him averaging 85-90. pretty comfortably with plenty of upside.  Will need to do some proper research on him before making a decision though.

Big fan of Williams, very good SC player already.

Those 2 guys were established players though to be fair, where as Williams isn't guaranteed starting 22 yet, GWS boards seem to be split between him and Wilson. What we do know is that ''if'' he gets the role he can post good numbers for a backman.

one i haven't seen, dyl roberton. 90 average, will go 95 imo
I have to say I haven't really considered him. Main reason is he has had just the one good year and is pricey. That being said he is likely to back it up....few bad games last year.
Rolled his ankle last week or so back but not major and will play Nab.
Other players who are cheaper and touted for good years are another reason he isn't in teams... Go cheap in defense mentality.

He did have an amazing season in 2013 too. However, his ankle injury looked so bad that most saints people wrote him off in 2014... boy did he prove us wrong!

He looks set to play as a tall def/winger this year. Not sure if he's worth picking as I doubt he has much room for improvement, but I highly doubt he's a one hit wonder.

Do you know if the ankle he rolled in the intra was the same ankle he had problems with before?

If Zac was assured of his place he'd be a lock. 88 ave unsubbed priced at 69. Premium numbers for a D5 or 6.
Certainly worth considering but might end up frustrating if in and out of the 22. I don't have him atm but he is still in my thoughts.

Williams, Lonergan and Harwood are all pushing for spots in my team... Is all 3 too much?
