I'm wasting my Saturday playing with my backline..

With all these speculative picks I'm starting to lean towards a few more reliable options, even though they're more expensive:

Boyd, McVeigh, Simpson, Bartel, Rookies...

Boyd should come out of the blocks firing, and is locked in for me regardless. I'm confident McVeigh will be right from round 1 even with his interrupted preseason, Simpson is always a lock and Bartel should be a steal.

It's only early days, but I feel a bit nervous with guys like Smith, KK, Malceski and Yeo in there.

Doesn't really mean anything but average age of 31.5

I am looking forward to seeing Alcock play at the dogs ... Thinking when elevated he could be a decent pick

He's not in our best team. Didn't do much today either so he's not really pushing his case for selection. Will be the 2015 version of Brett Goodes, back up if we lose experience.

I wouldn't think so but clubs rarely get to play their best 22. He's in the mix for the 22nd spot along with Biggs, Daniel, Dale, McLean, Hrovat, Campbell, Jong.

I read that Andrew Walker is training with the Backs this preseason, mean anything ?

I was thinking about him regardless of which end he plays at but the worry is his knee. I haven't really heard how he is tracking so I'm just waiting for the NAB

Is 2013 the only year he played back? Has never got near those numbers again prior to 2013 or since

injured and thrown around at both ends since then.  Massive talent and capable.  Would have to put up some scores in the regular season for me to consider him.

hey fellas..1st post of the year!

who ya reckon out of Aish or Mackenzie? Mac seems a safer 75-85+ scorer for the 1st half of season..Aish could be useful too.. I'm on Mac atm..

Bartel, Birchall, Smith, Malceski, AISH/EMack, MBrown (broad, hartley)

I may changee Smith to a Rich..Malceski is also temporary too..would love Simpson in there but may sacrifice Birch or JB..

I have neither at present. Would like to see aish do well with a fantasy friendly role ..... Harwood probably should be just as popular an option as these 2

With Eski at D4 I don't think you need either of those guys at D5. There are plenty of good back rookie options around to load up on and use the money on another line

yeah true..I could downgrade Malceski to a Matty Dea or Bonner and open up some cash..Umming and Arring with Malceski..not sure what to expect from him..
