Yep I also like Simmo. Birch is also in my team, but am only $3k away from Rance/Simmo which Id rather over Simmo/Birch

Big Mac

Have Bartel/Simmo/Birch at the moment

Playing it real safe

plumdog millionaire

Running with Simmo, Roberton, Bartel and Hurn. Kind of like the way it looks

_wato

Is everyone jumping off Smith or what?

Yeah, atm I'm off him

NickyBoy

Anyone got some doubts over Birch? I know in the past he struggled when he copped the tag. With Suckers out, wouldn't birch be the most likely to cop the forward tag now?

Not yet. Need to watch him closely in the NAB to see what his role is.

He has the runs on the board from 2 years ago and is very cheap which is why I cannot rule him out yet.

RaisyDaisy

I've still got Smith, but he will need to look really good in NAB to keep his spot in my team

Going so light with just 3 prems, I need the 3 to be reliable. Simmo and Bartel tick tick D3 is Smith's to lose. Birch the likely alternative

Been changing this line so much..
Currently going with 4 premo's in Rance, Docherty, Bartel and Smith
Still have 50k left though

dosstheboss

Haven't heard much of Bachar Houli, is there a reason for this?

Been chopping and changing my defence like crazy.
Went 3 premos and a mid (eski/Makenzie/seeds)
Or choosing 2 premos and all 3 of them guys.

I've chosen the latter.
Eski 85-90, Makenzie/seeds all can realistically go 80-85.
And from guys who are priced 200k-400k I think it's solid.
I can spend the money more on elsewhere

Have Shaw, Docherty, Bartel, Smith.  Could change Shaw
and docherty to mcveigh and rance but not sure which combo just yet

I'm playing around with a light option down back
Houli, Smith, Eski, McKenzie, Dea, (Brown Ess) - Bonner, Broad
gives me plenty of $ for the midfield

The only problem I have with this strategy is that the points-differential between the top 20 defenders might only be 7-8 points, though the difference between the mids will usually be far greater. Eg: If you went a speculative pick in the mids like Shiel, if he underperforms and only goes for 100-105 you could be 15-20 points behind someone who went for Selwood @ 120. In the defense, a top-liner would be around 90-95, but there are plenty who hit around 85.
