Anyone else looking at Docherty? Steady improvement, plenty of talent, in side can't do any worse than last year. If he adds another 5-8ppg this year could be a keeper?

RDT I have him locked and loaded. I want to see where he plays and he can butcher the pill at times which has me hesitant in SC.

Yeah i jumped on Macca early last year and he was amazing. Watching him play he'd have those beast games racking up marks and intercept marks which was awesome, but then he'd also have those quite games and off raw stats looked poor only to find he still put up a ton. He just seems to be one of those guys that pulls scores from CD from his ass and has a very good fantasy to supercoach scoring ratio.

Decent POD

Are you talking about Alex Rance?  ;) He was pickup of the year last year imo

Macca = Tmac I think

Yeah I know mate hahaha, was just stating that everything he said also applied to Rance. His fantasy to SC conversion was incredible and he got points from CD for doing nothing, even more so than McDonald. Especially in the second half of 2015 when I had him, hence why I said he was pickup of the year

He was damn good.  Nothing like 50 DT translating to 100 Sc. King of spoils and 1%s.  I'll be looking for a price drop before grabbing him though.

I'm considering him too.  It's going to be back there a lot and his ball use is pretty good.  He'll only grow more consistent too.

Is anyone considering Grant Birchall this year?

He's a touch cheaper than he has been in previous years, and I'm giving him some thought over guys like Yeo and Smith.

With Lake out Gibson will be playing a more defensive role, and without Suckling you'd think he'd be a the main man rebounding out of defence (with Duryea and Burgoyne chipping in).

His last few seasons have been a little down, perhaps role and injury/niggle related, but would he be a chance to average around 95?

Only in 2.8% of teams too...

Has been in and out of my side and I know Holz is all over him too

I think he's priced well and you know what you're getting which is why he's been in my team, but he doesn't really have the ceiling that others have. I think 88-92 is where he will go, which is why he is currently out, but could be back in again come rd1 lol

GoLions

Currently in my side, especially with McVeigh not looking great for round 1.

Gigantor

I would rather spend the extra 35k and go Simmo

Jackross10

yeah I've been on birchall for a while too, also on docherty

Every time I take him out I look at his record,

Missed 5 games in 10 years, lowest average in last 7 years is 92

.......Aaaaaaaand his back in again!

eaglesman

I like birch also

And a gamble would be duryea

jfitty

I'm all over Simpson too, been a key cog in my backline for the last few years!

Good to see I'm not the only one interested in Birchall. What are you guys expecting from him? More of the same or will he boost his average?

I've got him, more chance to rise than fall I think. I'm imagining 90-95 but he'll likely miss 2-3 games.
