I have Shaw Rance Bartel and need to pick up defenders but dont really like any of them.

Dochers at 515k seems pricey as i think he will fall when calrton do. he just isnt provne enough to pay that much
Gibson up and down scorer who has already had his big game pushing up his average.
Simmo: I like him but not at his price i feel he is also overpeforming
Enrigh: my favourite but could miss a game through resting
Savage: good pick but a breakout mid pricer is risky

feeling like keeping my 3 rookies on field and just pumping other lines.

This is what I like about Docherty.

1) His average has steadily improved every year, a nice steady upward trend. 52, 76, 87, 105

2) He appears to have broken the glass ceiling with 100's, last year only 3, this year 5 already

3) He performs well in wins & losses, 118 vs Rich, 116 vs Gold Coast, 104 vs Dogs,

4) He has a solid floor, lowest score 76

5) Even if he dips slightly he's priced to average in the high nineties so little downside

How do we feel about Trengove? New role, lots of internal praise, potential to average 85-95 from here on out… and with a BE of -3 he is set to rise $35k this week

Currently $326k… you could actually downgrade to a potential D6 keeper

I want McVeigh but still overpriced. Similarly Laird to come in but another week away and likely to have a softer first game/drop again in value

FYI - Simmo â€" at max. Don’t think he’ll keep 110+ for the rest of the season. And Docherty â€" still value to be had but doesn’t fit into my trade plans just yet

I have Tippa Adams DBJ Kerridge Bennedy on field and i thought i was pretty strong.

Yep. The way the cookie has crumbled, and trying to maximise value, I'll have three rooks on field after this week's trades - DBJ, Kerridge and Smith (if I had no prems on the bench that is), and two mid + one def upgrade to go...

Would have preferred finishing mids first, but just wasn't to be.

All going to plan, after next week I'll be fielding Hopper and DBJ as rooks, but this game is way to cruel for that  ::)

I have Tippa Adams DBJ Kerridge Bennedy on field and i thought i was pretty strong.

If guys like Laird, Boyd, Gaz etc were playing, then after this week my rookies on the field would be: Oliver, Kerridge, Bennedy and two of Adams, DBJ, Petracca, Keays, Smith. I wouldn't consider my team that strong though in comparison to others on FF :-X

Haven't seen much interest in him, but that's probably for a good reason.  But he still is an intriguing prospect, because even though he has been destroyed in the tap numbers in the last couple of weeks, he has still managed to get plenty of the ball, and there is really no-one that could come in and replace him in the foreseeable future.

Would be a very big call to get him in. IF he can maintain his 'form' of the last two games it would be a great pick, since 85+ is almost premium as far as defenders go. Potential to be a season defining trade.

I remember a couple of years ago when Leuenberger went down and some spud called Stefan Martin (~240k) came in as Brisbane's last available ruck option, right on the cusp of being delisted. He wasn't much of a tap ruckman, but his 112 average over the last 12 games was pretty handy in the forwards.
