What do you fellas think of Shannon Hurn? Has been a consistent 85-95 average for many years apart from last season. With emack and brown now in the team do you see him returning to that average? At 408k could represent great value

I toyed with the idea of starting him, but at that price I don't think it's worth it

Best case scenario he pushes 90 and becomes a keeper, but there is a decent chance that won't happen. I'd rather spend the extra 50k on someone who is more or less guaranteed to be a keeper (Eg Birchall) or someone cheaper like Eski

Not saying he is a bad pick. Just not sure there is enough value there to take the shot

I'd be picking him at D4, have 430k to spend in that position, was tossing up between him and Eski. Just worried that Harbrow, saad, KK and eski will all be stealing points off each other.

Yeah currently trying to decide between Hurn and Eski, currently have Eski but he's not locked in.

QuoteMcGovern is keen to play in the ruck, having played there as a junior and in the WAFL. Simpson has hinted that McGovern could play as the second ruckman but he has also said that he could be needed in defence at times early in the season as Eric Mackenzie and Mitch Brown ease their way back from knee reconstructions.

Could Emac potential miss a few games early?

Literally right after that it says

"Mackenzie and Brown have both had terrific summers on the training track and both are ready to play in the NAB Challenge."

Gigantor

Maybe it's just Simmo saying "You're not playing in the flowering ruck Jeremy, stop asking!"

Does Masten going down help Yeos case for more mid time? Has the coach or anyone involved in the club actually said anything about him playing midfield or is it just an assumption that he will move there with defenders returning?

QuoteBartel played just 11 games last year after suffering a knee injury in Round 3, but the expectation is Bartel will return to his most productive role this season - a contested ball-winning midfielder.

;D ;D ;D ;D

He has been training with the midfield all preseason but said he is happy to fill any holes and play a role anywhere on the field if needed.

Honestly, I think Yeo's role is going to vary from week to week. No doubt he will get solid mid time, but he will go down back or up forward if required too.

Yeah this is my worry. Gonna be a roller coaster and I'm not sure if I'm willing to ride it haha

hey fellas..1st post of the year!

who ya reckon out of Aish or Mackenzie? Mac seems a safer 75-85+ scorer for the 1st half of season..Aish could be useful too.. I'm on Mac atm..

Bartel, Birchall, Smith, Malceski, AISH/EMack, MBrown (broad, hartley)

I may changee Smith to a Rich..Malceski is also temporary too..would love Simpson in there but may sacrifice Birch or JB..

With Eski at D4 I don't think you need either of those guys at D5. There are plenty of good back rookie options around to load up on and use the money on another line
yeah true..I could downgrade Malceski to a Matty Dea or Bonner and open up some cash..Umming and Arring with Malceski..not sure what to expect from him..
stop umming,  unless he gets a change in role, he is just a mid pricer that doesnt help your team,  go big or go small just not mid.

So apparently Chris Scott said "I would be surprised if he played all 22 games" referring to Bartel

Could be frustrating owning him if he misses a game here and there
