Mullett not playing the third NAB game means he becomes Weitering. I still think he could be a really valuable scorer if he were to be in the North side, but not playing the last NAB game and Missy coming back means he is probably the 25th player.

@My Chumps, Aish won't average 80, his first season he averaged 71, so he has to bounce back to that and improve by 9 points per game. I think best case scenario he goes 70-75, Harwood has more upside although I didn't get to watch any games today so I can't see how he went.

Back to the Lids>Dusty move, I'll only do it if I am really desperate for cash, I prefer Lids to Martin, Lids is still the Tigers most influential player and I think he will be their best scorer. The achilles is a worry I guess, but SC goes on the way players impact games and Lids>>>>Martin in that aspect. I think he will be worth the extra cash.

So my updated team as it stands

So obviously the big change is Lids out. When he wasn't named I couldn't carry him at his price. So basically it was turn him into Joey, or look at downgrade options. One that stands out is Gunston since he was in my team previously, however the reason I looked to move him on was the poor bye and the fact he was roaming around in a moon boot. A game in NAB 3 had me contemplating, but there are still question marks.

The next one down would be Buddy due to his price and prior huge scores. There are question marks on whether he can hit top form and what is going on with his personal issues. I would rather look at him as an upgrade down the track once some of those questions have been cleared up.

Next stand out is Hall based on pre-season. I don't think he is going to keep up his NAB form and I don't think he is a clear cut midfield starter in that side, but players will be thrown around all over the place which might see him maintain a scoring pattern of at least 90. Basically what is making him attractive is the extra cash. I had issues with rookies and the 40k was really useful when I was initially playing around with my team. I'll probably keep tossing up between Hall and Buddy heading into the Saturday games.

I am not a huge fan of McCarthy but when I moved Menadue forward earlier I felt a bit more comfortable with it. Menadue proved to be solid cover and a nice cash making option tonight.

Mids I am happy with my starters, thankfully there are a few rookie options meaning I don't have to go with Oliver at M9. Davis should be solid and seemed to earn the pressure forward role. He could be this years Kommer where he scores you 50 odd each week before scoring a ton that will bump his price up. Hewett was impressive in the NAB so I don't feel to bad starting him at M10 and Gresham is in so that is another relief as a cash making option.

I am trying to decide if I hold Currie at R3 or turn him into Read from the Cats. Basically by keeping Currie I am banking on Nicholls getting injured soon, by grabbing Read it means I have a loophole option most weeks up until R8 and bank 50k. I am leaning towards grabbing Read right now.

Down back I really don't like Dea, but with no Hartley or Ruggles I didn't have much of an option. If Harwood isn't named I have the cash to upgrade him to one of Cannon or the always injured Lonergan. I'll decide what to do when I figure out what the go is with teams.

Only issue I see matt is you do not have a DPP link to mids.  Is it worth now moving Bennedy to mids in place of Hewett or Davis and then bringing in another forward who is playing maybe Milera.

If only using Read for loophole have a look at Goetz from Dogs as well a little cheaper again and doggies have 15 games starting Saturday night or later.

Your team though and go with gut.  Do not mind your prems although I am going Cutler over Harwood.

Mat0369

DPP isn't an issue early as long as I have the coverage on all lines. With Mills at M8 and having Gresh, Hewett and Davis all named I can look at bringing in Petracca down the line for that purpose. F7/F8 was pissing me off because I really didn't like any options other then Menadue there, but with the lack of mid rookies I had him slotted in. When I saw Gresh and Hewett were named I felt a lot better with the structure of my rookies. If someone bursts out I'll make a correctional trade.

Essentially I am backing Kennedy to outscore Milera and the mid rookies to hold the fort if one gets injured. I don't think that Milera is going to really outscore Hewett let alone Kennedy, add in the 50k and it is a no brainer with more points and cash.

The reason I was looking at Read is the DPP. Down the line if I want to grab a R/F to cover both lines I can use Read as that swing player. He covers me most weeks up until Round 8 for loophole purposes and by then there is probably going to be a player that pops up on various lines I can also use to loophole.

On the topic of Harwood and Cutler, isn't Cutler also a bit of a butcher of the ball? Cutler might be one to consider in DT over Harwood if named, but I guess that is a decision I'll have to make once teams are announced.

Papley > Hewett

But if I am going to pick someone with shaky job security I am better off picking them where I have more coverage and less options. I can have 3 rookies cover in the midfield, if one is dropped I still have the other two, in the forward line it is a different story.

I did think Papley performed pretty well against GWS, Hewett they kept giving him a pump up in NAB 1 since he was playing against his brother and he seemed to score well. NAB 3 to be honest I paid 0 attention to the Swans players at the game and was just curious to see how we structured up. It also looks like Hewett has the higher ceiling for scoring.

I could start both, but that might be overkill considering neither are locks in the 22. I think McCarthy might have solid job security so he can sit at F8 and make some cash.

You're still set on BSmith mate?? I'm tossing up him vs Hurn atm

Yup. He also has his career best form against North so I am expecting a big one. At worst he should be good enough for D6

Mat0369

I turned Gresh into Dunkley and Currie into Read, otherwise my team is as above. A couple of disappointing scores but I am expecting most of those guys to bounce back. The one worry is Harwood, I am looking at either a downgrade to EMack or an upgrade to Lonergan. I'll probably have to give it one more week before I make the move.

Mat0369

The only trade I am still considering is Harwood to EMack. I'll hold Robbo and loophole Menadue this week, but I am thinking I might as well cut my losses with Harwood and gain some cash in the process. Any thoughts?

Yeh its tough man, i'm facing the same in AF. You want to back him in but that score was putrid on the weekend
Atm i'm holding in AF, but he's only 200k there

I dumped him in AF as well. The 2 trades a week made it quite easy to do and I grabbed EMack there.

280k for a guy that scored a 39 is pretty bad. Add in the questionable job security I am tempted to pull the trigger now in case I have more issues next week. I normally hold a week and back guys in, but I'm probably going to get the same production out of EMack (if not better) at a cheaper price which will benefit me down the track.

Can you find 70k and go up to Sheridan?

GoLions

I didn't start him in SC, but I'd back him to do much better with Merrett back and some actual structure in defence. I'm holding him for now in AF and RDT, but if he has another shocker then he'll have to go.

I have 180k in the bank before the trade

Do you think Sheridan can be a keeper?

The issue I had with him was his disposal. It was poor all throughout the NAB and he didn't seem to give two showers on defense so his pressure acts were sub standard.
