Nice Structure Ben - I suspect if Crouch gets back to best form he could be a keeper as well but as you say if not can be a stepping stone.
Lobbe has for and against and all the arguments are there to read and form own opinion.  Would not be a good look if we all had the same teams though.
Ify on Simpson mainly due to the number of times he burned me last year with his low scores.  Also watch how Yeo is used in NAB cup with all the Eagles on deck.  He was used in a variety of roles last year including lock down which effected his scoring. If he is playing of HB through the mids then gold for you.
Like the Wines pick.

My team post the Essendon suspensions:

DEF: McVeigh, Simpson, Bartel (MID), Yeo (MID), B Smith (MID), M Brown (FWD) (Hartley, Bonner)

MID: Pendlebury, Ablett, Rockliff, Wines, Liberatore, B Crouch, Kerridge (MID), Morabito (Freeman, Keays, Hibberd (DEF))

RUC: Naitanui, Lobbe (King (FWD))

FWD: D Martin (MID), Dahlhaus (MID), Barlow (MID), Z Merrett (MID), Petracca (MID), Kommer (Payne (MID), Adams (DEF))

By bringing in Lobbe for Goldy I've been able to upgrade KK to McVeigh, Selwood to Pendlebury and Bird to Dahlhaus.

Lobbe and Crouch are both picked as stepping stones while the rest are being picked as keepers aside from the rookie priced players.

Rookies are just placeholders for now so please don't comment on them.

Thoughts?

Looking good mate.
Jeez, we have some similar players.
You're batting a little deeper in the backline than me. I'm surprised you haven't found my secret POD defender yet. A hidden gem that I'd downgrade Simpson to. A 350k - 400k player who had some great scores without the vest last year.
You'll find him. The extra funds you save would come in handy.

Wouldn't happen to be Shane Savage would it?

He played 12 games for the year.
Broke into the team in round 6 and played 3 games in a row in the green vest for scores of 8, 26 and 3.
He was then dropped then came back in round 12 then went. 93, 89, 103, 74, 81, 103, 86, 86 and 83.
A defender who in the finish was getting some mid time.
Good value and should improve.

Nope, not Sheridan.

^ Nope.

You made it too easy haha

Zac Williams :)

Though Sheridan wouldnt be the worst pick after looking at his end to the session

Just found him also. Just went on fan planner and was only one who had played 12 games between 350k and 400k.

Gws have too much uncertainty to me.. Too many young guys, coach still learning who can do what. Roles change every week. So I'd be reluctant for sure!

creeker

Yeah mate. Zac's the man.
I am so keen to start him but he is a very awkward price at around 380k.
I'm thinking of going 2 quality keepers, then Smith, then Zac, then 4 rookies.
Risky but may be worth a punt.

I didn't actually realise that Williams was the sub last year. There you go.

I'm not particularly interested in him but can see the appeal. Pretty sure Dimmawit has him in his latest draft if I'm not mistaken?

I picked him up in elite at one stage last year and worked well.. But just not sure what he will be doing this year. May not even be named round 1. They had fair few injuries last year too. Can score well but, so isn't a bad pick!

If you don't start with Goldy do you have plans in place to bring him in?

Yes. Planning on upgrading Lobbe to Goldy or the highest scoring ruck. Goldy no lock to be the best ruck although he would be the favourite. By starting with Lobbe it allows me to see who the best ruck is this year and bring that ruck in. Did the same thing with bringing in Goldy last year at round 10 when he was just 511k.
