Ok here goes nothing... Version 1 of my supercoach team is as follows:

Def: McVeigh, Bartel, Yeo, B Smith, Byrne, Wagner (M Brown (ess), Bonner)
Mids: Ablett, Sloane, Selwood, Rockliff, Wines, Liberatore, B Crouch, Hopper (Cunningham, Keays, Marcon)
Rucks: S Martin, Leuenberger (Naismith)
Fwds: Deledio, Bennell, Greene, Brayshaw, Wells, Petracca (Kerridge, Redman)

All comments and questions welcome  :)

G'day mate,

Firstly I love the team name.

Secondly, I love the team!

One player I wouldn't even consider though is Angus Brayshaw. Many better options at 350k.

A little note, if your plan is to get Goldy into the side, then be aware that he shares a round 15 bye with Martin.

It would be nice if you could have a look at my team if you get the chance. Thanks mate!

Pretty good team!

I agree with not going near Brayshaw, he will improve on this year but not enough to justify picking him over others around that price!

What are your thought on Sloane? think he will improve without danger there or will he get tagged more?

Love the Martin pick! He was basically my first picked player this year

Hi All,

After a few more revisions I'm ready to release Texinator 2.0 for comment...

Def: McVeigh, K Kolodjashnij, Yeo, Smith, Byrne, Bonner (M Brown, Rice)

Mid: Pendlebury, Ablett, Selwood, Rockliff, Wines, Liberatore, B Crouch, Hopper (Gresham, Keays, Mathieson)

Rucks: Martin, Naitanui (M King)

Fwds: Deledio, Bennell, Leuenberger, Wells, Kerridge, Petracca (McKenna, Hamilton)

Rookies of course subject to change, but I'm pretty happy with the premo mix I've got.

Thanks for the comments.

Ok, point taken on Brayshaw. I see him being a bit like Ollie Wines but it's probably a bit of an ask in a Melbourne team to average 100 in his second year! His average was effected by the subs vest a lot, and as the sub vest is no more, is the last time we can take advantage of it impact a players starting price. I am intending on taking a few risks this year, and picking Brayshaw would definitely be a big one!

Not too fussed about byes at this stage... my team will change drastically between round 1 and round 13 when the byes start, so I don't think there's too much point focussing on them just yet.

I love Sloaney! He always gives you 100% and started 2015 on fire before calf and cheek injuries. His starting price is injury effected, without the injury scores he would've averaged 118!!! With the way he plays, I don't think the loss of Danger will impact his scoring as he goes for the contested ball and it's harder to tag those players.

You should put all versions of your team in the one thread  :)

Looks like a well-rounded team, though I would look at alternatives to Wines around his price-range.

How much spare cash do you have?

As above you should keep the one thread for your teams.  As a moderator I will merge both threads and just call it Texinator 2016 so you can keep adding your updates.

Regarding your team I will make the following observations and remember it is your team so sift through comments and go with gut.

I think you have gone too strong in the mids with Wines at M5 at the expense of other lines. For example Berger at F3 is a very high risk in my opinion. What I would do is move Kerridge and upgrade Wines to a prem forward.  Also opens up the M/F DPP for you which may be handy.

Defence while not super strong is sound and mids as I said is too strong.

Thanks fanTCfool and Ringo. I'm new to this page and didn't realise that's how you do things. Thanks for merging the threads  :)

I have $16,500 left over and have been big on Wines for 2 years now. Without his injury effected games last year he was averaging 106 (up from 100 the year before and 75 in his first year)... not bad for a third year player!!

Appreciate the comments Ringo that I've gone too strong in the midfield at the expense of the forwards. I can't see a player I prefer in the forward line that I would be willing to swap Wines for... The only one that tempts me would be Greene but as I've said above, I'd much prefer to start Wines with those stats! I feel the forward line is where I'll focus the first of my upgrades, so it won't stay that way for long once the season starts. I'm looking to take a few risks this year, so this is one of them.

Sloane disappeared from your First Cut to your Second. I know you would now be about 30k short, but he is a significant upgrade on Wines in my opinion. I too am a big Wines fan, traded him in last year just before his injury  ::) but, Sloane, and probably a few others appeal as a better option to me. Obviously, if he is in and locked for you, keep him in there, but definitely assess the alternatives.

Crow9

Sloane has disappeared. I love him, but in the end I've decided to go with only 1 crow midfielder (at this stage) and B Crouch represents so much value, I can't pick Sloane ahead of him! The only player I'll consider swapping to Sloane (and this has already been done multiple times) will be Jelwood. I'll be monitoring both their preseasons very carefully. Or maybe Pendlebury to Sloane. It's so hard when you want them all, but unfortunately most of them can't make the final cut.
