No point in side trading rookies like McCarthy and Dunkley if they are still going to make you money. I see that you want to stick with Rocky and Barlow, but in your situation I would highly recommend trading Rocky for Hall and Barlow for Papley, in order to avoid a massive cash drop, as well as make a lot of cash via Papley. Not only that, but you will also net a ton of cash from these two downgrades, allowing you to do almost anything you want next week. However, if you are really keen on keeping both of them, keeping in mind that Rockliff may miss a couple of weeks with his calf injury, then I suppose you could side trade Dunkley to Papley via Menadue's DPP.

I only brought in Dunkley at the last minute prior to round 1 as I had already missed out on Hewett, not sure how great his JS is. Was poor on the weekend too. Fact is, for the next 2-3 weeks, Papley is going to make a lot more cash than Dunkley will, and highly unlikely to get dropped anytime soon. Would also give me a M/F DPP link.
Will wait and see what is happening with Rocky regarding his injury, but if he's playing this week then he stays. It doesn't matter if he loses cash if I want him in my team at the end of the year.
And with Barlow, I'm just hoping Ross realizes that he needs to play as a midfielder, and then he can get back to a 90-110 avg that we all know he's capable of.

I really don't want to be wasting trades this early on in the season. Main focus for me is usually leagues instead of overall, so I don't really want to be chasing points. Cash generation is the #1 priority for me at this stage, which means Papley has to come in. Dunkley is probably the person who will make the least amount of cash, so I reckon I'll ditch him.

Don't know anything more about Rocky at this stage, apart from Leppa saying that he might need scans.

GoLions

Went Dunkley to Papley. Will look at H2H games after tonight is finished, and see if it's worth doing something like Rocky to Jelwood or Zorko. Otherwise I'll hold.

GoLions

Actually just realised I have Mills on the bench :P

Will see how he goes as well and loophole him if he scores fairly decent.

40k in the bank, want Byrne-Jones and one of Ruggles or Byrne. Thinking of trading Paps and Milera, but could also trade Oliver, Lonergan, or Crouch.

Thoughts?

Given that you'll have no Mid Bench this weekend, I'd be tempted to trade Crouch/Oliver & Milera now that you can field McCarthy over the Pap.

GoLions

Yeah Milera is just about gone I reckon. If I trade Papley as well, I could then bring Menadue or Kerridge forward, and bring Lonergan into the midfield.

But as you said, don't have a mid bench then :-\

GoLions

Fyfe is gonna have to go :-\

Want Rocky, Gray, and Murphy when they bottom out, and also kinda wanted Beams :P

Thinking I could trade him to someone like Dahlhaus, but worried mids may be left a bit weak. Jelwood also under considerations, as is Shaw and Simpson.

Ringo

Just check the B/E GL and go for the one nearing the floor.  I was hoping it may be Jelwood but he may have lifted his floor this week.

GoLions

With cash in hand, and after trading Fyfe, Dea-->Shaw is basically locked in now. Pretty keen on Murphy, is it worth waiting one more week with his 121 BE, or grab Jelwood this week and look at Murphy next week?

Ringo

I have grabbed Jelwood this week as his B/e is 96 and he has had a 20k rise last week so on the way up.  Could wait for Murphy because even if he gets his B/e will not rise as much as Jelwood would.

Went with Murphy haha. Even though he went 100+, kinda wish I grabbed Shaw instead :P
Ah well, grabbing Shaw this week anyway 8)

Lonergan-->Shaw
Weitering-->Smith (Adams into DEF, Bennedy FWD)

Leaves me with like 180k or something (haven't bothered to work out exact amount, but it's more than 150k and less than 200k I believe). Next week I plan on getting both Petracca and Keays if they perform well this week and actually get named again next week. Guys I'll look at trading out will be Tippa (not trading this week due to Weitering and Laird), and probably Menadue who will likely max out next week provided he doesn't score 70+. This should leave me with around 500k I think, and the following week can make a double upgrade, getting (most likely) Rocky and one of Simpson/Dusty/Dahlhaus/GUNston.

That's about as far as I've planned. Hopefully my plans don't get flowered over :P

SilverLion

Can't fault this week's trades mate. Lonergan has to go, and why would you look at anyone else if Shaw was an option. J. Smith is a must this week as well, Weits out for him is also a good move, given that even when Weits does come back (in 3-4ish weeks), his breakeven will be 100+, and thus rendering his money making potential almost naught.

Carry Laird for the next couple, its what I'm doing ;). Not worth trading out a guy like that, who you'll only have to trade back in later in the year anyways.

GoLions

Ok guys, need some advice

Current defence is: Boyd, Shaw, Laird, Adams, Tippa, DBJ (Brown, Ruggles)

As you can tell, I'm looking at a donut

My original trade plans for the round were Brown and Crouch to Simmo and Dahl, however, I'd rather avoid a donut this week. So, I've had a few thoughts, but am relying on at least 1 of Barlow and Wells to play this weekend. I can probably stick with my trade of Brown to Simmo, but instead of bringing in Dahl for Crouch, I can switch Adams forward, and bring in any defender I want. Really keen on McVeigh at his price, even though he's set to lose a bit more cash. Also looking at Rance.

Another option is to just trade Adams, however I am really hoping that I can keep him throughout the rest of the year as def/fwd cover (and will trade DBJ instead).

Thoughts? Both on who to trade, and who to bring it. I'm expecting a lot of people to suggest Docherty, but there's 3 reasons why I'm not too keen:
- Basically at his highest price
- Don't think he'll maintain this scoring
- He's a little dog

Thanks in advance guys :)
