The question that will really make or break your team... Is that Max or Mitch?

Nah it looks great. Having more def rookies on field than your bench is risky. I'm sure at least 3 would play most weeks, but if a premium cops a 1-weeker you'll probably cop a terrible score as cover if not a donut. Fyfe, Danger and Goldy eat up a bit of cash between them. But individually I can't find a fault in any player you've chosen :)
Mitch! :P

The more I think about it, the more I feel that I should drop Birchall to Harwood and upgrade a def rookie...will ultimately come down to how the rookies go in NAB and who gets named round 1

You will have to have big coconuts to start with that backline GL if 3 of the 5 cheapies start round 1 it would surprise me  :P

Sabretooth Tigers

 :)

Bullshower!!  Of course that's the way to go in defence. Weak in defence and strong where the points are scored. Reckon that's the way to win this year. If we all go for balanced team structure we all do well but won't win IMO. Have a look at Collins for Freo, and Footsgray, plus Broad from Richmond, Perhaps Kerridge in for Kommer and you're flying. Great team GL and best of luck.       ;)

Yeah it all depends on how many get a gig round 1 ay haha, if enough play then I'm happy to stick with this setup and see what happens!

Nige

gr8 team m8.

I don't think you'll get away with 3 rookies down back so look at other options.

Personally never been a Buddy or Wells guy but they're always popular picks so I see the logic and value behind them.

That midfield is sexy though.

After the first 2 weeks of NAB, I've now dropped Buddy for Menadue (although could be any value fwd tbh), and spent a bit more on mid rookies (now have Mills, Parish, Oliver :P)

Also thinking just flower all the defenders. Birch down to Sheridan, Wagner and McTip to Harwood and Weitering.

Once NAB is done and we have a better idea of who all the top rookies will be and everything, I can then cut one or two of my top priced mid rookies, and use the cash in defence to maybe get someone like Laird who I am now keen on with Jaensch retiring.

But who flowering knows at this stage.

GoLions

Backline can get flowered.

Now have Laird and Birch, really keen on Lonergan or Sheridan, but should probably stick with Jimmy...got Harwood back in as well after I dropped him for a while.

Really can't wait for round 1 when we know what rookies are going to be playing!

Not Robinson Crusoe there  ;)  Backline is the line that keeps changing and still not happy.

I really dislike having only 11-12 starting keepers (pending Libba).

I really like the rookies and mid-pricers I've gone for.

30k left. Final rookie selections dependent on round 1 teams obviously. Does this seem like a viable strategy, or would it be better to drop (for example); Emac/Oliver/Crouch/Robinson/Weitering for something like Bartel/Pendles/mid-rookie/Kommer/Adams?

I think Adams is a good pick

They recruited him because they need him to fill a role. I reckon he can push 70 too

Yeah if he gets named round 1, I can't see myself not starting him

IntegralX

I'd ditch EMac for Adams then get Shaw. :)

Yeah I was thinking about that. I feel like Shaw will drop in price a fair bit though. Meow made a comment somewhere that showed he scored much much better when the Giants got thrashed, and I'd have them pushing for finals this year.

In saying that, it would feel nice having who you'd expect to be the #1 defender in your team all year haha.
