This almost locks Bastinac in as Fwd/Mid.

7 month bump just for irrelevant Bastinac? Hahaha nice one Torpy!

Im not a fan, to me where you win the ball surely is more important then where you line up.

If you start on the half forward flank run into the midfield then play there the game you are a midfielder in my eyes. If you line up on the wing but immediately drift forward get all of your ball close to the 50 or in the 50 and kick goals you are a forward.

Jack Gunston lines up in the forward 50 most of the game but drifts onto the wing. He is not a KPF like people think but a F/M

I disagree man.
CHFs and HFs that work up the ground and receive the ball through the middle are still FWDs
Mids that run fwd hard are still mids
Mids that role defensively are still mids

Its not 100% but where they start is far more accurate

Are we talking about different things though.

Monty lined up at half forward sprinted into the mid and picked up all his ball there. If you line up in the forward line but 80% of what you do is what every other mid does that what are you really.

You're still classed as a half fwd.

If not then all lead up fwds from half forward (including CHFs) will be mid only or mid/fwds which isnt right

So I also found out the other day that they include Finals when determining positions.

I was hoping that would be the case (Picken FWD DPP for WXV I hope!)
