Just toying around with some options for Plan B, and am hoping to get some feedback on this

Plan A is my team above

Plan B:

Shaw to Houli
Pendles to Shiel
Broad to Weitering
McCarthy to Mills

Team 1

DEF: Shaw, Laird, Bartel, Dea, Brown, Hartley (Broad, Adams)

MID: Fyfe, Danger, Pendles, Ablett, Rocky, Libba, Crouch, Gresham (Menadue, Petracca, Davis)

RUC: Goldy, NicNat (Grimley)

FWD: Martin, Barlow, Wells, Bennedy, Milera, Kerridge (McCarthy, McDonald-Tippa)

Team 2

DEF: Houli, Laird, Bartel, Weitering, Dea, Hartley (Brown, Adams)

MID: Fyfe, Danger, Ablett, Rocky, Shiel, Libba, Crouch, Mills (Menadue, Gresham, Davis)

RUC: Goldy, NicNat (Grimley)

FWD: Martin, Barlow, Wells, Bennedy, Milera, Kerridge (Petracca, McDonald-Tippa)

Shiel I rate A LOT. Houli is a nice replacement but getting in Weitering, Mills and having Menadue now as bench cover with Petracca over both mids and fwds - I quite like this a lot

Wow... I like the Plan B team A LOT. How much do you have in the bank? If NicNat was S. Martin I'd say perfection. I'm not convinced of Bartel like everyone is, but I love the Menadue - Petracca link on the M - F benches. And you're starting to convince me that an extra M premium is more optimal than a speculative F3 premium (such as Hall, which I currently have).

If they were the same price, would you take NicNat over Martin?

If not, would you consider Parker over Shiel to squeeze in Martin?

Alternatively (and this is my bias here - I don't believe Bartel will play 18+ games), if you downgraded Bartel to Sheridan, you could upgrade NicNat to S. Martin, and B. Crouch to M. Crouch. I know you are not interested in the Defensive mid-pricers though, and probably very much so having given up Shaw for Houli.

Either way, two rock-solid teams, RaisyDaisy. I think you're going to have a big season.

Cheers Sonny. As much as I want to start Heater I'm really liking this team. It gives me much more solid bench depth and better JS rookies on field too

NicNat is locked, wouldn't change him for Martin. If I have to downgrade Pendles, than Shiel is my boy

Pretty content on taking this team into rd1

I love it that much I'm tempted to delete it so no one gets ideas and copies Haha

See my original comment for an amendment.

Good luck for this season, RaisyDaisy.

Over-and-out.

There isn't a hell of a lot of difference between our teams in terms of structure. I have the extra premium up forward to you down back. Basically these are the different starters

Houli, Laird, Dea, Danger, Shiel, Nic Nat, Dusty and Milera

Vs

Smith, Cannon/Harwood, Brown, Pendles, Parker, Mummy, Lids and Robbo.

Team 2 for me, Mills & Weitering are really good additions. Shaw can wait, he will drop 100k, I'm almost certain. Houli is a good pick, he never misses matches which will probably make up the difference if Shaw misses his mandatory 3-4 matches. Shiel is solid but will cop the tag now that Treloar is gone. I like Selwood, Ward & Sidebottom just a little bit more. The latter should become more of a weapon now the rotations have been reduced, best motor in the business.

Are you worried at all that you are going into the season with 12 Premiums + Libba. I know you have B. Crouch which is good but alot of other teams have 13 Premiums + Libba.

Just a thought.

Shiels is out for about 6 weeks with a wrist injury.  You need to rethink him.  So I prefer team 1

No... Dylan Shiel is his pick in his side. Liam Shiels is the one injured.

I like it. Very similar to my side.

It is Simpson, Ruggles, Parker, Mumford, Hall and McCarthy

Vs

Laird, Weitering, Shiel, Goldy, Milera and Petracca

Which means they'll have slightly worse cash generation. Going in one premium less if perfectly fine provided that your expensive rookies and/or midpricers do well.

Sorry for the confusion.  They shouldn't let players with similar names into the AFL   >:(

Can I have some help with my side please

I've got 8 players between 140-250k which is something Ive never done before, but we're kind of forced to go this way with such a ridiculously lack of cheap rookies who are likely actually to play and hold a spot

Teams that have the extra premium would either have lower value prems or a weak bench that lacks depth

I think this team gives me the best depth available in terms of bench cover, and cash generation

frenzy

what about keeping Heater and give Dusty the chop instead. Just a little something for ya to chew whilst waiting teams. I know which one is more reliable going 110.

I resisted going Heater last year expecting him to fall over and couldn't get the job done trying to bring him in. So I won't be making that mistake this year.

You got a very nice team RD.
