Hey all,

Pretty much copying last year's post...

This will be open from when the Rookie Draft officially finishes, all the way to the end of January 2015.

This draft is much stricter than the others...

Rules
- Trades can only be done if it relates to some sort of issue from the positional changes (player loses DPP, didn't get DPP as expected, you now have too many players in position, etc). But it has to be the PRIMARY reason. Only 1 team needs to have an issue though.

- Only 4 player movements allowed, and they can only be 1 for 1, 2 for 2, 3 for 3 or 4 for 4.

- You can't go over 30,000 points, and you can't go under 22,000 points. If you are already under 22,000 - you can't make a trade that makes you get even lower.

- No trading of future draft picks.

- I decide all these trades for this period. If 6 coaches object to my decision, they can PM me, and the trade will need to be renegotiated. Seeing as in the past, not many trades are done in this period, you can expect a decision on a trade after 24 hours of it being put up.

Was fully expecting Darling to get MID status and didn't :(

That's a valid enough reason to chase mids i think

Hey quick question - why can't this trade period be a free for all like the first one?

Restriction wise I like having just the four movements - but why do they have to be related to dpp? Can we just remove that restriction? If not this season if like to raise it for a vote for next year please.

Maybe have a rule where you can trade anyone taken in this yeArs Nat or rookie or PSD draft if you don't want it to be unrealistic and teams trading away players they just drafted.

This is also my post to get updates.

Hellopplz

Think this one was only made for any DPP changes that may have effected a team. So to get trades through, need some reason why you're trading away/for somebody due to he changes (even if it's somebody else changing positions, fixing a hole in your team). Was always done like this just so people don't go crazy with trading as they had a few months prior to drafts :P.

Well, because you should have done all of the trades you needed to do in the unlimited trade period. This one is just to address unexpected position changes that you didn't plan for.

It was either this, or no trade period at all originally.

Matty Rosa getting DEF/MID DPP and moving to the Suns

Get around him!

the whole DPP reason to trade thing is dumb cause you can pretty much always make up a reason for a trade

we meed a extra mid cause Greene got fwd status
we need a defender cause we though D Swallow was getting it
we need a forward cause J Kelly lost it and we were not expecting it

use your imagination

got to be within reason

we lost a bench forward player so now we need a premo forward. dont see that flying.

J Kelly was in our best xv last year as a forward

RaisyDaisy

So who has players that they actually want to trade now due to positional changes?

I agree with kb here.

I think it should just be a trade period with limited movements for all clubs - 3/4/5 or whatever coaches decide. No limits on what players are then traded unless you want to implement something where draftees can't be traded straight away (to stop potential collusion in the Nat draft - I'll trade you player X if player Y reaches your pick in the draft and you take him)

That's enough to fix any potential dpp issues a club finds out after the first trade period ends.
