well Z Merrett and A Hall and Motlop kept forward status all play plenty in the midfield

Bit surprised Griffin is a mid only, he played down back for 3 quarters of the year. His heat map shows he played back and through the middle. Another part of the criteria according to them is where they are actually named on the team sheets. Im pretty sure Griffen was named in the backline most of the year. They even gave him DPP M/D during the year. Pretty sure he will play the same role in 2016. Anyway complaining wont change anything .. pricks  ;D

Hall wont..... not with Ablett, swallow, prestia and omeara all to come back.

Motlop now has Dangefield and Scott selwood added to their midfield. So less time for him too.

Essendon get Watson back so merret also will be a lot less time.

Poor decision, but still not as bad as Adam Oxley being mid only ;)

Griffen no getting DPP is a worse call than Montagna being given forward DPP.. They are making his up as they go along

Gonna disagree on Hall and Zerrett.

Yes, Hall will play less time than he did, but he proved himself to be a really good midfield option and at the very least will be in the 22, probably just spends equal amounts of time mid and fwd, they'll have to rest some of those boys in the forward line and some stage with the interchange cap lowered. Rocket really likes him too from what I've heard.

Zerrett is arguably Essendon's best young mid and he'll almost certainly play as many minutes in the midfield in 2016 as he did 2015.

I reckon you're right with Motlop though.

they just hate defenders. to be fair D/F would be ok. He really should be D only but he was originally a forward.
