TEAM NAME: My Planned Super Coach
DEF: M. Hibberd, E. Yeo, B. Smith, N. Malceski, R. Bonner, M. Brown (M. Hibberd, D. Tucker)
MID: N. Fyfe, S. Pendlebury, G. Ablett jnr, T. Rockliff, T. Liberatore, B. Crouch, R. Clarke, J. Dunkley (A. Johnson, B. Keays, L. Partington)
RUC: T. Goldstein, S. Martin (M. King)
FWD: D. Martin, L. Dahlhaus, H. Bennell, M. Barlow, S. Kerridge, C. Petracca (M. Adams, H. Balic)
CASH LEFT: $31,000

Defence is weak but I think it's worth it! Look at how strong my other lines are.
Goldy is going to have a bad start (100ppg) but he won't lose enough cash to make starting Leuy viable for me.
Kerridge and Petrecca will make heaps of cash so I can bring in Lids quickly when he drops a bit.
Barlow can only improve on last season!

Hibberd is the only pick I'm a bit concerned on and would love everyone's thoughts!

Hawker_08

Great team MS. Looking to use the same structure.

With regards to Hibberd, I started with him last year and just a couple of weeks in he scored a 30. There is nothing worse that when someone you regard as a premo gets a score like that. He did it a couple of times. Just saying, from personal experience it is a roller coaster that I didn't enjoy. But hey, it's supercoach, anything can happen. All the best for this year and nice team.

Your mids, rucks and forwards really are awesome but your defence is just way too shaky for my liking.

I like the Yeo and Smith picks but I'm not a fan of the Hibberd and Malceski picks. I don't think we will see Hibberd score like he used to any time soon and expect him to average around 85. I reckon Malceski will average even less at around the 80 mark so obviously won't be a keeper. If you could somehow find the cash to upgrade both Hibberd and Malceski without effecting the rest of your team then your team would be superb.

Maybe a couple of downgrades in your forward line to make a bit of cash would work?

Going to be hard, seeing as all hes rookies are basement price. Only decent way would be to downgrade malceski to a rookie who plays (going to be hard to find), maybe eric mckenzie? then hibbard to reliable premo....

Thanks mate! I got him as my final upgrade and he ended the year with 80s but didn't realise he started off that bad.
Cheers.

Hibberd should be a lot better this year than last

My reasoning for the Malceski is with star midfielders coming back I think he will go back to the role he plays best. It's a risk worth taking for me.
I'll look for other picks instead of Hibberd.

Yeah I don't really rate any of the high draft picks this year as most of them were KPP.

Would like your reasoning behind that. Cheers.

How much is hibberd?

I think their are 2 ways to look at Essendon players. Ignore last year completely and go on prior form or ignore Essendon players completely.

Hibberd at the right price could be hard for me to ignore

What are people's thoughts on Bartel? Is he too old or will he get back too 100ppg?

Ringo

Bartel will give you consistency - Even last year taking out injury effected score averaged 97.2. Has been consistently above 95 for the last 11 years and can not see that changing.  Will take 95 from a defender anytime.
