Yeah i might trade out Dunkley for Mathieson, i would think Dunks will more then likely be dropped anyway after the bye with the return of Bulldog player's, i also was going to grab Reid instead however he was omitted.

I'm fielding Menadue "The spud" this week in the hope he can at least achieve his BE or not leak to much cash, then if Phillips hold's his spot & is named next week then i will make the trade.

I have decided to do the exact same thing. Cmon Menadue, redeem yourself with an eighty!

Menadue what a star, pulls a 130 & prob gone up $20-30k, his gone next week thou for Phillips.

Happy with the Dunks to Matho trade also, he was playing in beast mode & looked great!

Menadue will rise 24 k to 250k this week on the back of his 130 and with it in his rolling average for two more games Too Serious projects him to hit 297k with a couple of 50s... that's when I'll trade him out... likely for a 102k rookie with Fwd/Mid dpp...and use the cash to upgrade one or both of my last defenders... Ruggles, Collins, Brand or Lee.
I was worried about how I was going to finish off my D5/D6 but with Ruggles, Collins and Menadue all going bananas cash generation isn't an issue. Have Shaw already but Bartel and his 50 odd will time nicely with Ruggles' 91 last night in a couple of weeks.

If you watched the Tiges VFL game today you would see why he is playing the cupboard is bare  :(

Broad was fine. Batch had an injury which is why he was a late out. I saw two injuries listed as well, which makes it seem even more unlikely that he'd get up for next week.

Our VFL team is a bit hopeless, but the team is composed by raw/inexperienced talent, lads who haven't played AFL and a few blokes who either were stiff to be delisted from AFL sides or couldn't cut it. That said, guys like Castagna and Marcon are killing it. Also been liking what I've seen from Callum Moore.

Castagna and Marcon were awesome in the VFL today, shame the rest of the side was fairly crap :P

Castagna and Marcon were good at VFL level they would be exposed if lifted to AFL level , Castagna was earlier this season this is why the coach has to play Batchelor unfortunately the Tiges only need a couple of injuries to expose our list

That's a pretty pessimistic and ordinary call if you ask me.

Castagna only played two games against Port and Hawthorn respectively, the entire team was pretty average across the board for a good month during that patch of games (Rounds 3 to 7). The reason he got dropped is because his stats weren't that flattering and as a second gamer, it's easy to drop him. There were some good signs across both games from him. Since returning to the VFL, his numbers have been good and he's been consistently one of our best even in a VFL side that's been mediocre. He can't improve if he's not getting the exposure at senior level. For all we know, he could be close to BOG in his 3rd whenever that may be. Menadue was rewarded for consistently good performances at VFL level and came in and played his best game to date.

As for Marcon, he's experienced as a mature-ager, has a big body and is proven to be a consistent performer regardless of how his team goes. His numbers are always great and he's never far from the best on ground if not it. Hasn't had a game at AFL level yet, but given the chance, I think there's a very good chance he'll live up to expectation as he's better than his good mate Kane Lambert. However, he hasn't been given a run yet but that time will come. It's plain unfair to suggest he'd be 'exposed' at AFL level with nothing to back it up.
