Rookie discussions and when to cash

Anyone else got the problem of having Lee and Brand?
Lee is a test? Not much help really. Will be gutted if he doesn't play next week.
By carrying the two of them through the byes I'm looking at 18 players with little breathing space. Not sure whether to get Austin who is on the bubble... Only got 17 players this week so it would save a doughnut or do an early trade this week for next week... Say Bennedy (could wait till Melbourne game and see late ins as he is an emergency) to Phillips which would free up a trade for next week (already planning on using two to get Montagna and Simpson). Other trade next week could be used on McKenzie for either Brand or Lee. Thoughts appreciated.

So he is. I knew he was on the extended bench and when I looked at match centre on afl website he was definitely listed as one of the emergencies not as one of the 4 interchange.

Could do the Papley to Montags trade this week still to open the possibility of third trade next week of Lee or Brand to McKenzie.

I traded Brand to McVeigh last week as I thought if he could not get a game last week he would struggle and helps me with another prem this week.

I nearly set myself up for this as well, Brand to a premo defender but in the end i couldn't spend like 380k (2 great rookie trades)
on the upgrade, as the only defenders i like are all 530k+ and brand has made bugger all.

I don't wish for injuries but if one should occur (frawley looked worse for wear) i hope Brand will get a recall and make that extra dosh.

Only scored 59 sc pre scaling and has the bye next week.

Is Adams still worth keeping as a short term D6 with the view to move him to D7 eventually or should he be traded?

I have him stuck in my forward line ATM with Collins at D6.  :-X

I was planning to go Brand > Uebergang (D/F) after the bye mate so I can swing Adams to D6 temporarily while moving Collins to the bench.

Can then grab Doc/Bartel later on for my D6.

Adams then becomes D7/F7 cover.

What do you think of that?

Nice plan, the DPP has been gold for me, not so much for the swing during the round but for culling rookies. I'll be trading Tucker, throwing Adams back to defence and bringing in Lids. My D6 is Rich, not ideal but he has only dipped below 70 once this season. Libba is the one I want to shift, most likely for Neale in a couple of weeks.

Yeah I've been using Adams back and forward too like you Bully to cull maxed out rookies, hence why he is stuck in my forward line now. I also traded McDonald-Tippa last week who was in my backline for Lee which killed my DPP link. So now I need to get it back so I can put Adams back up to D6.  :P

I really want to get Bartel in as my D6. Love Jimmy.  ;D

Lions will be debuting another this week in Matthew "Hammer" Hammelmann.  He has a Def/Fwd DPP similar to Hipwood but has been confirmed to start in defence.
