Stewart had 9 tackles in his first game. None against the Bombers, but they got the ball back without tackling anyways...

Tiebreaker goes to the mature age recruit who is in the worse team :P

In a tiebreaker I look at the draw, Hawthorn have a stack of early games so it's the Brissie boy. Jansen either makes money or he becomes the loophole candidate - win/win.

Thinking I'm going to have to go Stewart as that extra $21k will be much needed for next week's upgrades. If I wasn't cutting it so fine next week I'd definitely go Jansen as well, he doesn't have to contend with Luke Hodge returning to his side next week

I would love the extra cash, but with Brand stinking up my defense and no way to get rid of Menadue, without losing my mid/fwd DPP, I don't want another rookie not playing. So Jansen it is.

You can restore DPP with Phillips on the bubble in 2 weeks and you can sit him at M11/F8 to switch as byes are over.

Whoever I pick, I just need to them to play next week too, then beyond that I don't really care as I won't need to field them, and the money they make is irrelevant as I'd be stuck with them all year regardless

Looking at the Hawks side, one of Howe, Hartung or Stewart would make way for Hodge. Who know's, considering they have GC then the bye the might even give a veteran a rest against GC to give them 2 weeks off and keep the kids in for another week

If this was earlier in the season I think I'd go Jansen for sure, but because I just need the next 2 weeks out of them I think I will save the 21k and go with Stewart, and hope he plays well and holds his spot next week

Yeah this is killing me, Bully's earlier comment about Jansen being more loop hole friendly had me leaning towards him but the extra 21k from Stewart could be the difference between been able to get Hanners as my last upgrade in rd15

I have to pass on both Stewart & Jansen due to having DMAC sitting @ M11, i don't want to risk having floating donuts @ M10 & M11, however if i was to choose out of the two i would go Jansen. (Hodge might be a concern for Stewart, also Hawk's rookies are risky after i was burnt by Brand!)

On a separate note anyone know why Mathieson is not getting a game, been playing well in the 2's & yeah he was pulled up for that ducking thing back surely he deserves a recall?

Same problem here. I'm going with Stewart. If anyone gets rested next week it likely Burgoyne. Hodge comes in then, with the rest of the team unchanged. Also the difference in prices is another factor, picking Stewart puts another $20k more in the coffers for my next premium upgrade.

I would be very surprised if they dropped Howe, providing he doesn't have a stinker this week. He's been pretty good recently. You'd think Stewart would definitely be dropped if they don't give someone a rest.

I expect Mattho to come into the side for Keays possibly. Mattho was sent back to the NEAFL to work on a few things apart from ducking. One being his running and tank as he needs to get his GPS numbers up.  He achieved iimprovement in this area over the last two weeks.

i think even leppa himself has stated that jansen, matho, keays etc will all be rotated throughout the year. so just grab one, they will get games off and on
