Rookie discussions and when to cash

Got rid of Davis for Priddis this week to start preparing for byes. Thanks for all the 30s spud ::)

So what rookie options do we have coming up?

Matho and Paine this week and Collins next week

Anyone else?

Has Paine done enough to consider? Maybe one of the Lions boys can give us some thoughts.

Already have Collins and need a downgrade this week. Don't have room for another mid rookie I don't think..

Think Paine will be safe for 2 weeks at least.  Andrews is due back in 2 weeks and Gardiner is due back in 4. Depends whether Andrews comes straight back in or is given games in NEAFL.  Paine is the obvious one to make way for him.

I need paine only for the byes so if he is going out round 13 or 14 (Andrews 1 week in the 2s) then thats not great.

When initially injured projected return was Rd 11 so that may still be the case.  Will watch this weeks injury report with interest,  He came out of rehab 2 weeks ago and started training with the main group.

Good riddance to that spud. Traded him for josh smith and glad I pulled the trigger! Can't sit on these rookies forever hoping they come good

That same spud made $31K on the weekend with a further predicated $50K to be made from him over the next two weeks - I guess you win some & lose some. (He was also on my chopping block this week for Matho if he didn't pull a 90 out from nowhere)

Trengrove is locked in for me once he is on the bubble.
Maybe Tucker and Yarran from freo

I don't see the bubble as relevant now. You just need them playing as they should be sitting on your bench the rest of the season.
