Anyone considering Connor Blakeley?

Named on a wing this week, bit more expensive than Keays, but possibly better JS?

Have followed this kid since 17
Big frame that he is growing into - 189cm - inside mid - strong at the ball
Is Going to be very good. At any other club IMO he would have play 6 to 8 games last year
Couple of niggles early this year but should get 10 to 12 games in him for the season

Call me crazy, but I am strongly considering Brand from Hawthorn, and going a week early on him today

He's 22, Hawks only really have Hodge and Rough out who are 4-6 weeks away still, and Schoenmakers is the other

I think I would rather Brand at D8 if he gets dropped, as opposed to Keays at M9/10 seeing as I already have Davis and Dunkley

Brand this week and one of MacPherson, Redman or Crocker next week

I think it's a bit crazy, all these rookies have pretty shake JS so it's safer to grab them when they get named for game number 3.

I don't think Rocky and Mathieson coming in will necessarily mean Keays goes out. His form in the twos has been great, and I don't see why they wouldn't want to get plenty of games into these youngsters.

I actually forgot about Brand, but great news that he kept his spot with Frawley returning.. But I'd still want him to get named next week before jumping on

Rocky is out for a minimum of two weeks, I reckon it's safe to say Keays will get 2 price rises, then a downgrade to Matho should net a reasonable amount of cash. Keays has value because he can also play forward, if he scores a couple of goals this week I can see him going 80+.

2 cash rises doesn't interest me - at M9 he needs to hold his spot for the next month at least

Josh Green knocking on the door too. I just feel like todays game will be make or break. If he plays well he should hold his spot but if he doesn't do much I can see him getting dropped

Tough choice, and I only have the next 30 mins or so to make my decision

Two price rises would be the worst case scenario unless he has an awful game this week. Also consider who the opponent is, reckon it will be a tight match and a Brisse win should see an unchanged line-up for next week.

When I pick these blokes I like to factor in their scoring potential as juniors, Keays was one of the standouts last year. It's a big step up in the AFL but he has a nice build and a very strong defensive game. I always look out for strong tacklers, not only for the points but coaches tend to reward them with job security.

Davis to Keays only nets about 68k which is bugger all, and that lack of cash doesn't really give me too many options

Up to you, I'm personally keeping Adams for the season, he's a nice depth player, particularly when the byes roll around. His DPP is also very handy.

Davis to Keays is what I'll be doing, the cash is secondary to getting a guy who can provide cover and hopefully edge up to 300k. Will be happy with anything north of 250k.

Yeah I'll dump Davis for MacPherson most likely next week, or I'll swing Petracca into the mid bench to open up DPP and get me some bench depth
