@Matt

I think I have decided to just eliminate the risk of dodgy JS with these expensive rookies

Bennedy and Milera concern me, and that's over 350k tied up in guys who could be dropped any time. Petracca isn't far off and I reckon Bennedy makes way for him. Milera has Cameron, Lyons etc

M8, F4, F5 are the 3 spots I need to finalise.

I had Mills, Bennedy and Milera, but am now thinking I should go Dunkley, De Goey, Petracca

Dunkley, Gresh, Hewett and Davis would be my 4 rookies only requiring 1 on field

De Goey eliminates any JS worries I have with Milera and Bennedy and should score better than them both, and Petracca would be on F7 because I have Menadue and Kerridge at F5/6 with Petracca and McCarthy on the bench

I save a trade by not having to bring in Petracca in a few weeks time, and can use him to loophole Menadue/McCarthy

I still prefer option A to option B. Option B you are banking on Dunkley who also has shaky job security, De Goey who is awkwardly priced and Petracca who is still returning from injury.

Basically my F4, F5, F6 is currently Wells, Kennedy and Kerridge with Menadue on the bench. Essentially for me at least there is less risk in selecting Kennedy. I still wouldn't be touching Milera in your position and would be trying to find an alternative, but I wouldn't do it at the expense of Mills.

Just something else to consider with Petracca, Roos has a tendency of easing his rookies into the system. Generally the step up from TAC to AFL is quite large in terms of fitness base. Petracca is coming off 0 football last year and an interrupted pre-season which hurt his running. It wouldn't surprise me if he spent a month at VFL level to get his legs under him, especially with the vest gone. Think back to how Brayshaw and JKH were basically vest candidates every week early in the season. Kennedy has an AFL ready body which should see him get the runs early. For those that have Oliver it is something else to look out for, he could play 3 games and then rest one so he is one you will have to be patient with for cash generation. It is just a way of managing the workload of the young guys and it something to expect with selecting any first year player from any team, Mills included.

Yeah I'm sticking with the forward line I have had for a while now, and both Bennedy and Milera stay

Petracca I will worry about later. Just got to start players who are actually playing

Dunkley vs Hewett my last decision for M10. I actually wish I could pick both, but can only fit in one

Starting to worry about Oliver a bit. Melbourne have a lot to come back. Brayshaw, Lumumba, Petracca and Trengove to come back in the coming weeks. Don't want to pay 200+ for someone who could be dropped in a couple of weeks. Tempted to pocket the coin and wait for Trengove, Petracca etc.

I think he will still get games when those guys come back. He's a high draft pick, but realistically we only need him to play the first 8-10 games for him to make enough money..

Same boat, although I could pick both it means I don't pick Gresham and I am back to square one

My mid bench is Menadue, Gresham, Davis.

Pretty happy with it, its solid.  8)

Yeah, Gresh and Davis are locked for me. I could do Mills down to one of them to get both, and believe me I have no problem doing that, but that extra 90k I would get unfortunately doesn't really help me anywhere else

How did Dunkley only play 1 NAB game and still break into that side? I feel like that has to mean something - that he is going to get a good crack at it. As for Hewett, he's been on their list for 2 years already so he has worked hard and now gets his chance, and he's NEAFL stats are very good and he looked great in NAB too

atm I have Oliver,Gresh and Davis on my bench with Mills on field, still tossing up as whether to take Oliver out or not

dosstheboss

Cannot split Gresham, Hewett & Dunkley... Need to pick 2 I've had each in and out and cannot settle on a combination

RaisyDaisy

Flower it

I can't decide between Hewett and Dunkley because I like them both, so I might just dump Davis and then have Gresh, Dunkley and Hewett as my mid bench

Am in the same boat. Just worried about when Brayshaw, Trengove and Petracca come back.

Fast forward to 2-3 weeks time when both Hewett and Dunkley have been dropped and Davis is still playing.  :P

Have to have Gresham and Davis on you bench I reckon RD.

Their JS is so much better than Dunkley and Hewetts.
