going to laugh so hard when Weitering averages 60 and everyone regrets picking him

I am expecting 70 which will be fine by me :) 60 could be a problem  :P

Carlton and Essendon's backlines should be seeing plenty of the footy you would think so these back rookies will get their opportunities.

+1 exactly what i was thinking

RaisyDaisy

Yeah they'll be seeing a lot of the footy, but won't be touching it much

Lions share of the 3300 will be going to their opponents

Might as well spend the extra 120K on Lonergan who could go 90+ and be a keeper, well that's what I'm thinking

whats wrong with 60 thats decent for a back rookie. Its 30 off the premos.

30 off a mid premo is a 80 average.

If he averages 60, he barely generates any cash at all.

well he makes 80k which isnt great but isnt terrible. I think he will put in a few decent games to bump it up a little more. If 60 is worse case then its not too bad.

saying that I just went Weits to Broad and 120k forward to Oliver (via menadue)

Oliver should smash Weits in cash generation

Yikes, even if Weitering averages 70 he only makes $100k.

From a team building perspective that isn't great.  I think some people (myself included) are just afraid of having 3 sub $200k options on field.  But in a week's time that may just be how it is.

Saying that, he's shown he can have a big game, and that's all we need for him to get to +$150k

it all depends on who else plays.

Broad Adams gets named along with all the essendon defenders then can probably avoid.

Not sure that will happen though.

its points score v cash gained (to get more points)

And this is why I never start 200k rookies

I'll start if Mills but only because I am forced to

There is no guarantee the 200k rookies will average more than the 123k options - but this year is different with such a lack of options available

It's all about job security in defence and Broad is useless as a loophole option given Richmond play a ton of Friday games. Been saying it for awhile but Broad looks a little out of his depth at this early stage, doesn't seem composed enough for the rebound role and doesn't have the strength to be a KP option. Weitering is favourite for the Rising Star, I'll take that for an extra 100k.

sammy123

only need weitering to make about 100-150K anyways

eaglesman

I'll be shocked if broad gets a game.

He is not up to it. If the tigers have room for someone like that in their 22 forget contending for a premiership and enjoy 9th place again.

There will probably be no Lions rookies playing anyway - maybe Schache but at $220k he is a little expensive considering other options in forward line. Jansen, Keays and Clayton remote chances to play.

Glad you cleared that one up RD, I was thinking you were referring to Ross Lyon.
