I'll take anything in the midfield right now.  Only playing 1 game?  No worries, come on in.

LOL

I don't think we can pick any Brisbane rookie if they get named rd1. Zorko returning, Beams possibly a few weeks later. Think I might just avoid them all

And I agree Mat, was very surprised so see Canstandya get the gig

Keays the natural "replacement" for Mathieson? Beams out too may help him get a few price rises
Not necessarily - will be in the mix but may only play Rd 1 because of Zorko being out.  Bell and Lester were played forawrd last week and expect that to continue.  Clayton and Jansen may also come into consideration.

would any b worth starting if named rd1?
Wish I had the coaches crystal ball.  ;) ;)  If however starts takes their chances they may stay as well. Claye Beams has now had a run in NEAFL as well. So many permutations for mids now.

Will Clay play in the mids or out of the backline a little?

Redden out too so with all of this there should be a mid spot up for grabs... just wish I knew if it was Keays or Jansen! May have to pick the more expensive one...

I think Bastinac is going to fill that hole in the midfield with a plethora of other guys.

Perhaps, not sure if he is the extractor type compared to Keays/Jansen? I'm not exactly sure what role Bastinac will play either, just seems like a hard runner type for them

In and under from the training reports

I don't understand the Petracca picks by so many. As I feel there are more than enough rookies, just you need to pay that bit extra for them over the last few years. The game has evolved, you need to follow suit.
Right now I have 9 players between 150k-300k all on the field, all bench spots with players under 150k. Admittedly I also have 1.2mil still in the bank to incorporate into my team.

Petracca is not a walk up start either as he still a rookie, he will need to earn his spot in the team. If he doesn't play until round 3 which is my guess he would be a perfect downgrade option when he gets a game.

Feel like I'm forced to break my rule of never starting 200k rookies and bring in both Weitering and Mills

8 players between 140-250k. Ridiculous, but what else can we do? Flower all cheap rookies

The games a little different this year now

Mills yes, Weitering no.

I'm not forking out 220k for a first year KPD playing for arguably the worst team in the competition.

Mills is a different story, he will be playing an SC friendly role off half back and through the midfield playing for one of the best teams in the competition.

I'm doing the same thing RD - feel real uncomfortable picking Weits, Mills and Oliver, but don't think we have too much choice! Would rather pay a bit extra for a rookie knowing they have excellent JS.

Although having said that, a few players will surely pop up with the round 1 selections. There always seems to be a few last minute saviors.

But the ball will only ever be within 20 meters of him or at the center bounch  :P

It's not like the Carlton forwards are going to get a fat slice of that 2300 point pie  ;D ;D ;D

Yeah but he is going to get whiplash from watching the ball sail over his head so many times per game.

True ... but he's playing against teams who love scoring points.

Good chance he gets a cheap possie from a kick in. If he hits a target outside the 50 arc Champion Data are going to worship him as the most effective , impact full Carlton kick of the day  8)
