Reasons? Only the one NAB game suggests to me that he won't get early games.

Mature player with a ready made body and he is in and under. Conca was playing half back but he is out for 8 weeks now apparently with the hamstring, Grigg is out with the broken thumb for a while, Townsend who was recruited to fill a similar position wasn't great and knocked himself out. Hunt and Miles are going to come back into the roles most likely but he is probably next in line for a midfield spot.

I can't imagine Marcon playing personally. Townsend is front of the list of tigers to make a debut round 1.
Hopefully he comes in around round 5-6 for a perfect downgrade option

What do the Tigers injuries mean for Broad? Can he improve his SC score a little, if he plays at all?

I don't like his prospects with Yarran closing in on full fitness. Batchelor should also get a game first, Broad doesn't have the job security as far as I'm concerned.

As far as Grigg is concerned, Menadue will take his place.

I thought Menadue would be replacing Conca? He seemed to be playing off HB early until Edwards got injured and then moved down forward.

Talking about our team that faced North in the final, Grigg & Conca out, Menadue & Townsend in. There's also Lennon pushing for selection and Yarran will be a certainty if fit. I can't really see Broad getting a game but if he does he will be warming the chair for Yaz.

Petracca being ready for round 1 would go against the grain of everything Roos has stated, not saying I wouldn't be pleased but not holding my breath.

I was just looking at the like for likes in terms of positioning. I wasn't expecting Broad to get a gig with a fit Yaz anyway. Newman is the other from the EF that is out, so Lennon would come in for him.

Agreed. Miles will come into the team from the weekend to replace one of Grigg or Conca, and then Townsend would be next in line after that. I wouldn't even be surprised if Andrew Moore was ahead of Marcon as well tbh?

If Broad plays it will be Batchelor's spot he takes. I would think Yarran is a very different type of player who may come in for Hunt.
