Are there any Stkilda supporters out there that know much about how Tom Lee is going? he scored 72 in their first NAB game playing back and moving forward. He looked pretty good too. Moved into defense last year and ranked 4th for intercept marks in the VFL last year. at 123k he could be one to watch and is mature age to.

For those that aren't starting Mills at M8, are you looking at using your M11 for loop hole purposes? Say Davis gets elevated and isn't named round 1 and Marcon, Gresham and Mathierson are all named, would you look at maybe using Marcon as a bench loophole option on the Thursday and if not start one of the other two? He might also be useful as a captain loophole option if you take someone else as a VC and go into Gaz as the C. You could keep using the loophole option early in the season or at least until Davis is named. A few bites at starting a rookie could be really useful, especially in the midfield.
I have Oliver at M8 for now (Mills M7), considering Petracca though for loopholing as it might not be worth trading a rookie to him in round 5 or so

About 100k vs loophole benefits, and that's not only the captain's loophole, it applies to all midfield and forward rookies due to his DPP. A good debate to have.

I have Gresham/Menadue/Bennedy etc at M8 with Petracca at M11 for loophole purposes

I also have Davis is my side with Mathieson as place holders expecting them to be the most likely cheap options at this stage to play rd1

Petracca at M11 opens up DPP into my forward line, and he will play eventually so he is the perfect loophole for me especially with the lack of cheap mid rookie options too

Mathieson may have fractured cheekbone, mid rookies now at crisis level.

what are the chances of ruggles lining up rd 1. or getting promoted and playing assume he is on the rookie list

Yet another forward option  Price though $215k may be a draw back especially with Wells only 28k dearer. May be an alternative to Simpkin though,

I like Gault, he has shown a bit yet again, if I remember correctly he was also half-decent last pre-season

As much as I never want to start a 200k rookie, I might be forced to pick Mills now

If scans prove conclusive then it will be at least a month. He's a first year player too, will probably need a gallop in the reserves.

mid season downgrade i reckon for mathieson

RaisyDaisy

Mathieson questionable, and now Gresham has only come on in the 2nd half to get half a game

Things are getting diabolical in mids

Bennedy a lock though

What mid rookies are a real chance from here?

Mills, Gresham maybe, Davis maybe. Who else?

Might need to play Menadue and or Bennedy in the mids and bring in Kommer etc up front.
