Connor Menadue looked good again today. 155k Mid/Fwd with scores of 75 and 101 in the 2 NAB games. Today's score was from 12 disposals at 100% DE.

Obviously it would be good if the disposal numbers improved but his ball use is was also at 75% in NAB 1. If he gets more of the ball he will average quite well.

What do the Richmond supporters here and others think about him? What is his JS like? If he plays round 1 he will probably be in my side.

Looks a ripper, forget Corey Ellis, Menadue has just jumped ahead of him in the queue. He was 69kg at draft time but has filled out nicely, made for SC with his precise long kicking. A very good chance for round 1.

Agreed and Mitch Brown (Ess) is the other cheap standout.

Weitering aint cheap no need to pick him enough cheaper options

Yes if picking keepers to d4d5 or a d4 keeper and d5 mid pricier then I agree with you 100%

I have Weitering at D4 atm and all those cheap defenders also.

Awkward price, reckon you will get the same output from Ben Kennedy or Milera. I have just fiddled around with my side to fit these guys in, still struggling a little but I have also replaced Franklin with Laird, the backline rookies aren't looking as good as I anticipated.

The midfield rookies are also causing me a lot of grief, I may have to make further cuts to squeeze in Mills unfortunately. None of my bench are guaranteed to play round 1.

He was getting pushed around a bit when he was in the contest by the bigger bodied Essendon mids. There were a couple of ball ups on the flank and you could see him making position, getting ready to charge where the ball was supposed to go and either we lost the hit out or he got pushed off too easily. We also got smashed in overall disposals, that didn't help a lot of those young guys numbers wise.

I think with a stronger midfield that can feed him the pill he would look a lot better, however I don't think he starts in the 22 round 1. I was looking at our team, there are a couple of holes but I think we start with a more experienced lineup and blood the kids through one or two spots. Most of them need to bulk up and don't have the size yet even compared to VFL players.

Cheers for the summary. Looks like he might have to go. Hopefully a good downgrade option at some stage

With Swallow out for a while I reckon MacPherson is a monty to get elevated and play

With that being said, I think I will plonk him at M11. Either him or Marcon should play I think so a 102k mid at M11 is a bonus
