Corey Ellis is around the same price as Cockatoo and is a fairly good chance to play r1

No Milera Raisy? Has been training very strongly and is every chance to line up round 1. If named he is a lock for me, has already proven he can cut it against men and has a very high ceiling.

I left him out because I have not heard anything about him in regards to his likeliness of actually playing early, and being a bit more pricier

Would he play forward or more in the middle of the ground? Don't know enough about him in terms of potential SC output

Like I said above, that list was just my thoughts - nothing really too meaningful at this stage, more so just a guide in terms of who to use as placeholders, structures etc

Can play both forward and midfield, with Menzel in the frame I suspect Milera will get some time on the wing, something which he has done at SANFL level and has absolutely thrived. Scoring wise he has a very high ceiling, can kick multiple goals and has excellent disposal. Perhaps the thing I like most about him is that he's very slippery and difficult to tackle, this gives him time to dispose of the ball correctly. Apparently he's been training exceedingly well and will line up in the NAB Cup.

He looks pretty scrawny.... so you don't think Adelaide will focus on building his body up more this year and just give him a handful of games?

He's slightly built but has put in a very solid preseason, the fact he has many credits at SANFL level indicates he should make the transition with ease. If you look back on the history of small forwards, most play early and have some sort of impact. A guy like Jeff Garlett is still a lightweight but has kicked 40 goals a year on numerous occasions. All this is contingent on Milera's preseason form but the kid is a gun, he never gets tackled and knows where the goals are. He's slightly pricey but could well be the best of a bad bunch.

I've mentioned Ellis a few times, he's had a monster preseason and will give Mills & Weitering a run for their money in the Rising Star. In my opinion he will be named round 1 and should hold his place. We have Townsend & Moore vying for a spot but Ellis is by far the better footballer.

Are any $102k rookies even a slight chance? Who should I be watching out for at this stage

Just to note Townsend was partially recruited for a reason/certain role and hopefully NAB will be an indicator of whether it happens or not. I definitely agree with Ellis being a better footballer though, so the competition for the last few spots in the 22 should be interesting.

Yep, Marcon or Castagna will probably be elevated for us. If Marcon is the one, definitely have a look because he could slot in straight.

Tippa for obvious reasons at Essendon, though I'd say Marcon is the better option of the two if they're both contenders.

Tigers handed Corey Ellis an AFL debut after only 2 VFL games last year. If named for Rnd 1 then he's a must have in fantasy.

Not quite sure what to make of this one though

Can't see Petracca featuring in the early rounds which basically rules him out in #AFLFantasy. Could still be chosen in #SuperCoach though

Lol, is this some propaganda in order to give the owner of FantasyFreako a head start at SC?

Yeah forward rookies are looking even more shaky now.

Hopefully all the potential defender rookies come through so DPP guys like Brown, Adams and Tippa can fill the forward gaps

kilbluff1985

Aaron Francis looking more and more likely to play round 1 every training session really impressing

? why wouldn't he play

RaisyDaisy

The part that confuses me is that you can start him in SC but not afl fantasy? Don't get it

FanTC, freako works for champion data so always has the goods and insides scoops

I'd already started taking him out of my teams as the reports from Melbourne training seemed to suggest he was still being carefully managed and wouldn't be rushed.

lucky

Jones on Petracca (7ish mins)- few weeks behind- hurt himself recently playing basketball and possibly may play a couple of nab challenge.
ill be honest this doesnt fill me with any confidence and have taken him out already. Obviously way too early to call still but dont like his chances.

If he plays nab games then he is ready for round 1. If he doesn't play any nab though he won't get a game round 1
