What are the chances of Maccaffer playing, and what will his price be? Was decent the other season before he got injured and could be a decent option.

Had some good stats when he returned to VFL as an inside mid... He more than likely return as a tagger though with Collingwoods deep midfield unless they play him as a pure forward which he is very good at. All depends on bucks!

I'd be locking in Ben Kennedy who should be a 180k fwd! F5/6

Agreed,  also see Lamb getting time straight away as well.

Yeah probably. I was looking at Tom Lamb earlier so I immediately thought of him.  :P

Lamb, Sumner and Tutt will probably be fighting for one or two spots so I would wait on them and see who comes out first!

Similar to last year, let's use this thread to discuss all things rookie related

Curious to see what peoples thoughts are about starting guys like Mills and Hopper? I usually never spend over 200k on rookies - are they musts if they lineup Rd1?

Petracca is the biggest lock of the bunch I would think, but who else do we think are good choices and chances to line up rd1?

Kerridge, Freeman and Mitch Brown are locks, Ben Kennedy a good chance as well

Depends a lot on how you are going to use DPP. If using rookies for this cuts down cash gain but then allows movement to upgrade. Guys like Francis and Hibberd who have d/m dpp may be worth it at the cheap price.

From a Brisbane perspective expect Keays to get games but later in the season ideal downgrade target. Hipwood will get games if one of our talls go down. Schache would watch the preseason from as Freeman, Close and Schache will be vying for 2 positions. Matthieson may also get games but there is Jansen to consider as well.
