Haha. I don't love it, but sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and do what's best for the team

As for Menadue, I can play him on field in the fwds, or at M9 with the E. Think I might bench him with the E and field Bennedy

Or do I put him on the fwd bench with E?

I've got him M9 E but my fwd bench isn't great (McCarthy + King with Grimley R3 swingman)... waiting to see with McCarthy and Grimsby, I may yet reshuffle my D3 (Rich) to turn Grim into someone like DeGoey and lose the swingman... So many decisions!

Why is everyone against picking Kommer, but then super keen to lock McCarthy away? Lincoln is about 15k more expensive, has worse job security and I really can't see him scoring any better playing a similar position.

That's a fair point you raise, but Geelong love McCarthy so as long as he is fit I think his JS is pretty decent

He has shown that he can score 80+, where as Kommer just doesn't seem to score well

Fair point, but personally I just don't rate Kommer at all in terms of SC

That being said, I may be forced to pick him if rookies don't get elevated

Kommer is a small fwd in a team that will get belted most weeks. Geelong will be aiming for top 4. Unfortunately it looks like I need to start both however

Agreed, did nothing really to push for a spot opening round. Still needs a bit to get back in to AFL level. Also, the year he played 19 games he had an average of only 54.

Better options out there.

yeah that's the main reason i don't think he is 100% match fit yet

but McCarthy is a bit more expensive and i only see him averaging 50-60 and everyone seems to have him locked

Bennedy, Milera, Menadue, and one of Adams/Brown/McTip for fwd/dpp shower are the first ones that come to mind. Obviously Wells just over 200k. Oh and Kerridge!

And before you say they're all more expensive, this isn't the year to cheap out on rookies.

And it's worth mentioning Cocky, suspended but would be a great loophole option for 2 weeks and then a real POD against the likes of McCarthy, Kommer, Grimley etc.

Well its official, I've caved in and have Mills

I really want to make sure I've got good depth making money so had to drop Jelwood down to Mills to bolster up my def and fwd

Really wanted Jelwood with Crouch at M8 - such a juicy midfield, but my def and fwd benches would be relying on 102K guys to get elevated and play regularly, and I think that's too risky for now
