McCarthy and Ruggles looking pretty good

Not sure I would pick McCarthy though - feel like he won't be a great scorer. Already has 2 goals, but can't see him kicking a few every week

Will Ruggles be the small defender that Geelong needs?

I'll enjoy this rookie differential for 2 rounds on the bench and u trading him in before his price rise

McCarthy kicks his 3rd and it's not even half time

A pair of 102k def rookies would be nice

he is very highly rated down at the cattery, it's just been a matter of him getting his body right

Ownership to soar!

Bones Bombers

Have Simpkin as an onfield forward, haven't been that impressed with him, so think he's gone for McCarthy.
Good move?

I'm well aware of how much they love him at Geelong and his talent but is he going to be able to score enough? Feel like there will be a fair amount of sub 50 scores due to the fact he's a small forward more or less playing out of the pocket with the odd short stint up the ground

You are playing 2 fwd premos and Gresham m8? What are the other rookies in both positions?

I'll probably end up going with McCarthy at F7

Scored well last game and should score well today. Will get the odd 40 game, but capable of scoring 80+ in games too so should be solid cover at F7

Cockatoo no longer an option for those considering ... Will get suspended

At least 2 - 4 for that sling tackle.  McArthy a certain option now with no Clark and no Cocky.

I am now running Menadue, Kommer, McCarthy and McDonald-Tip through as Fwd rooks
Kerridge and T.Phillips as mid rooks with DPP to link up
McGovern (ADE) and Petracca in the mix too!

For those that aren't starting Mills at M8, are you looking at using your M11 for loop hole purposes? Say Davis gets elevated and isn't named round 1 and Marcon, Gresham and Mathierson are all named, would you look at maybe using Marcon as a bench loophole option on the Thursday and if not start one of the other two? He might also be useful as a captain loophole option if you take someone else as a VC and go into Gaz as the C. You could keep using the loophole option early in the season or at least until Davis is named. A few bites at starting a rookie could be really useful, especially in the midfield.
