Do we reckon Currie could beat out Nicholls for the number one ruck spot? Didn't look too bad tonight against Naitanui, they could even play 2 rucks?

Very possible, Smith played 11 games last year & Nicholls 15, there were a handful they played together. All we need is half a dozen games from Currie and he becomes a nice cash cow, best case scenario is he plays all year.

Nicholls was injured

Nicholls is injured every year, 15 games was a freakish return from him last year.

Probably put a line through Macpherson, 14 SC from 61% TOG tonight

Forward pocket from what I saw. The ball barely went down that end of the ground for the entire second quarter.

Garlett also injured his shoulder and Ah Chee didn't look great so he might actually have a spot open up for him to grab.

Lonergan was also the other one that got injured for the Suns

if he plays rd 1 he's in at 102K hard to pass

everyone putting a line through Macpherson is a bit silly we all know rookies are inconsistent

How many injured players need to return b4 he's way down the pecking order ... and if they trickle in round 2-3-4 ... does be make any cash?

Even with all of the injuries he's no garuntee to play, but if he does manage to get a game round 1 he will be playing as a small forward so you can expect low scores. If he could be picked as a forward I'd consider him for F8 but don't see him being a viable option in the midfield. Still got one nab game to change my mind but I don't think he'll even get a game in that from what I saw tonight.
Most teams will play as close to full strength in preparation for round 1. Best time to get a good u der standing of what rookies are a real chance to play round 1

Consistency is exactly what he needs this time of the year if he wants a game RD1

Thoughts on Tom Keough? Got winded bad, but came back on.

Yet another defensive rookie to consider if named Rd 1. Would take 65 SC pts from a rookie every time and 80% TOG. His attack on the ball was great with 9 contested possessions.  Can see playing Rd 1 if Lonergans injury is serious.

Isn't he a lock down defender?? I didn't see what role he played last night though
