Broads likelihood of getting a round 1 game went up slightly with Yarrans injury. If he can put a couple of good games together during the nab he's a very good chance

With Yarran out for 7-8 games things are looking good.

Only thing that could keep him out is his kicking

Have heard this but apparently played a really good intra club match so will be interesting to see how he goes on Friday

Not promising at all

@AFL @melbournefc If Petracca is fit for round one does he deserve a spot in the seniors? #AskTheCoach

Roos: Christian will play when his rehab and form allows it. He's coming back from a knee reco and foot injury.

fantastic downgrade targets are what I want.,

If he doesn't line up round 1 he is definitely not in my side ... I'll be happy with a quick fire downgrade early in the season

If you have time to watch the highlights you will notice how many targets he misses, he's also very one-sided. On the bright side, Morris is a rubbish kick too so all not lost.

Which highlights are you referring too? I just watched the ones on the RFC website and he looked sharp the few times they showed him. Dimma also said in his press conference today that he kicks the ball well so maybe he's improved a lot over the pre season

From the intra club match? Didn't think his disposal was great.

TomK

Don't rule out Milera, had a fantastic pre-season and with Cameron injured, if he has an impressive NAB, he is every chance to play R1.

175k probably 50k too much for me to consider him even if named round 1.

I wouldn't be expecting much either but with forward rookies looking thin atm, he's just one to keep an eye on

I like his drive too

"If I keep trying to improve every day at the club, I can't see why I can't play round one," he said.

fanTCfool

Sounds like he has a good attitude to footy, the type who can not only earn a spot but hold it, keep performing.

defintely not planning on pretacca starting.  willl be downgrade option for me.

I'm just thinking about Grimley at the moment. He played a lot of key forward at the Box Hill Hawks and could play in the ruck as well. The thing I'm curious about, will Mitch Brown play forward or in defense this year? I think if Brown plays forward then Grimley is effectively fighting for a spot with McKernan. If Brown plays down back then Grimley would be a pretty legit chance of lining up round 1

Brown was recruited to play in defense so I presume he will play there.
