Guess the good news is that none of these guys should lose much cash this week unless they have really horrible games or get injured quite early (like Weitering and McCarthy)   >:(

Want to know people's thoughts on some upcoming defensive rookies as guys like Brown, Tipa, DBJ, Wagner, Byrne etc are all starting to max out..

A few that come to mind are:
Broad (tigers)
Collins (dogs)
Williams (dogs)
Tucker (freo)
Hibberd (north)
Brand (haw)
Lee (stk)
M..Brown (WCE)

Any others?
Who are you thinking of picking up in coming weeks?

yeah catch 22...I want to grab the next DEF rook (looks like Williams at Dogs) but as mentioned he could be a virtual bystandaer come byes time

I culled Hewett for McPherson and Kedge for Priddis but i'll look at Brand if selected for Mitch Brown

I went a week early on Brand

Happy for him to sit at D8. Only Hodge and Rough are missing and are both 4-6 weeks away

He's a 22 year old and has looked good. Won't be a great scorer but I was happy to bring him in at D8

I'm surprised Tucker hasn't come back in yet, he might be worth jumping on when/if he can get back in the senior team.

Brand doesn't seem like a bad option this week. Kept his spot with Frawley returning, but who else is missing from that backline? Hodge? Schoenmakers?

Might see how Williams goes for the Doggies next week if he keeps his spot. Didn't watch the game, but his Supercoach score wasn't too bad for a backline rookie.

Dont think so

Schoey is still 2 weeks away but has been playing fwd anyway

There's a few fringe Hawks playing now and their emergency list didn't have anyone threatening which is why I jumped on Brand and reckon he might be able to hold his spot for a while

As for Macpherson, I'm now thinking I'll pass on him. Davis to Macpherson only nets me 84K and Macpherson isn't anything special

I reckon I'll do Davis to Hopper the following week to bulk up the mid bench cover

With that now the case, I might look at getting Crocker this week. I know I said yesterday he might not be a great pick, but my fwd line is deep so having him at D8 should be ok, especially with DPP

I think it is if you can upgrade him to a gun

Obviously he has the JS, but a lot of his scores are 60-80 and it's a few big scores that have inflated his average

I'll probably be getting rid of him in the next week or two
