Francis hasn't been anywhere near my team. 198K on a rookie defender? No chance

Spend the 40k and get Emack

I just can't justify McKenzie who will score similar to N.Brown from last year. To achieve 75 avg. he will need to be in AA form, can't see it to be honest. His history is 65, not worth it in my opinion. You might want to pay for job security but I'd rather spend some extra and get a guy like Malceski.

Mitch Brown scores the same as his brother Nathan

Emack is in ripping touch and averaged 75 last season before being injured.

I'm starting him which gives me time to see what def to upgrade him to which won't cost much at all once the time is right

I am not sure with the eMac pick either ... Regardless of past scores I feel like 75 will be a stretch this year which I think is what will be required for the pick to be worth it

Keen to see eMac and brown dog run run in nab but

What rookies/rookie priced players are looking the best at the moment?  Who's most likely to line up round 1 at this stage?

And the 5 years before that he averaged 55, 64, 61, 64, 68. Coming back from injury it's a big ask, too awkwardly priced for mine.

EMac is a gun, looking very fit. Have to remember too that Eagles are a much better team than before, which should help his scores.

Plays similar to Rance and both he and TMac killed it this year with their scoring. Can't see EMac playing too much differently with all his 1%'s and what not, could go beyond 75 possibly but 70-75 is my guess and I'm happy enough with that, will make $100-150k, fallen def premium could definitely fall that much easy or be within $50k reach to upgrade. See Smith this year... In hindsight if he didn't have his second head knock think he would've been a perfect pick at low 400's

It is generally agreed that, until NAB, it is too hard to select rookies - and probably not worth worrying about yet.

Eagles played in a semi-final in 2012 and EMac averaged 64,don't think he's anything like Rance, he's only ever averaged in the 70's once in 8 years.

Dont underrate Emack

He is a gun. I see no reason why he cannot average 75, even more. For such a cheap price you get rock solid JS, decent scoring, and then once he makes 100k+ we will have a much clearer idea of who the best defenders are this year, and it would cost bugger all to upgrade him

In his last season, 50% of his games saw him go 80+ and WCE will be winning most weeks too.

For those of us like myself going super cheap down back, he is a great pick

It could come down to how much Mitch Brown plays. Brown would play the lock down full back role because Emac is a better rebounder/interceptor.
I'm leaning towards Brown playing a lot as the Gov is too good to play just in the backline :)

I read only yesterday that both EMack and Brown look in ripping shape and are having top preseasons

EMack will take the opposition CHF while Brown will play deeper, meaning EMack will have opportunities to play a little loose from time to tme
