So considering I have Mills at M8 it is essentially Dunkley vs Gresham vs Davis vs Hewett for 3 bench spots. Davis I think at his price makes the cut, the trouble is trying to split the other 3. I am leaning towards Dunkley and Hewett because all three don't have the greatest job security but Dunkley and Hewett are cheaper.

Same for me, plus Bennedy and Milera up fwd. Gresh and Davis are locked for me. Dunkley made the cut so Dunkley vs Hewett is my decision. Could even get rid of Mills and pick both. If one of them gets dropped in the next week or two then they can be my loophole, and i can then use that player to loophole my M8 score so that's an option

For Dunkley to not even play NAB3 and then come in rd1 speaks volumes to me. I think he is going to be given a proper shot, and am convincing myself to pick him

This is my thinking too, he only played one NAB game didn't he? The Doggies definitely must see something in him.

Do you have someone on the ruck bench for loophole RD? Or did you mean if one of them gets dropped you'll have an extra loophole option?

RaisyDaisy

I've got Grimley at R3 who I could loophole too, but Essendon playing early games doesn't give me much options

I could use one of the 4 mid rookies to not only captain loophole, but also loophole the remaining 3 if one got dropped for the M8 spot

Don't bother.

I would rather Kennedy over Milera although they both have pressure on their spots. Most will look at making a corrective trade a few weeks down the track, it is easier to turn Kennedy into any forward rookie then find the cash to turn Milera into Kennedy if you have to make other changes and are strapped for cash. Cameron is also returning through the SANFL this week so that could mean he isn't exactly a safe pick either.

I would be keeping Mills for the reasons stated above, plus I have been impressed with his vision and ball use in the NAB. The game they played us he just made smart decisions. Gresham I can't lock in because I think he and Dunkley are probably equal in terms of where they are in the 22 but Dunkley is cheaper. Both will get pressured for spots, Jong is the one that will put the pressure on Dunkley while Sinclair will put the pressure on Gresham.

The Swans are expecting 4 to return? 2 of those are key position guys and 2 are runners. Essentially looking at their team, 2 of Jones/Papley/Hewett/Robinson will probably get pushed out while Talia and Towers might make way on team balance. You aren't generally going to drop a forward flanker or midfielder to bring in a full back.

Right now I am leaning towards Dunkley and Hewett out of the three and pocket the 20k

Thanks, just realized that Marchbank is a Key defender so he is definitely not worth it.

@Matt

I think I have decided to just eliminate the risk of dodgy JS with these expensive rookies

Bennedy and Milera concern me, and that's over 350k tied up in guys who could be dropped any time. Petracca isn't far off and I reckon Bennedy makes way for him. Milera has Cameron, Lyons etc

M8, F4, F5 are the 3 spots I need to finalise.

I had Mills, Bennedy and Milera, but am now thinking I should go Dunkley, De Goey, Petracca

Dunkley, Gresh, Hewett and Davis would be my 4 rookies only requiring 1 on field

De Goey eliminates any JS worries I have with Milera and Bennedy and should score better than them both, and Petracca would be on F7 because I have Menadue and Kerridge at F5/6 with Petracca and McCarthy on the bench

I save a trade by not having to bring in Petracca in a few weeks time, and can use him to loophole Menadue/McCarthy

That looks very good too me!
All the rookies I have on my bench could be dropped next week and that's worrying me :P

Could I get your thoughts on Jamie Bennell RD? Is he worth a look or will he be in and out of the side?

RaisyDaisy

You're getting too desperate now MS lol don't touch Bennell

Yeah I'd stay away from Bennell haha.
I'm stuck between picking Libba and Gresham or making a late change and going B.Crouch and Oliver.
I really feel like B.Crouch can outscore Libba, but I can only fit one  :-X
And I can't determine the value of Oliver over Gresham!

Apologies if this has already been covered, unsure on Dunkley vs Hewett.

Have gone with Hewett for now as I feel he would be the second to be dropped (after Papley), whereas Dunkley might be the first to go. Or I can pick both over Gresh, thoughts?
