Love to see something come out of that midfield! Get rookie to Mackenzie and potentially get Goldstein....!
Other than that little bit of clutching at straws it looks really good!

Best mids/ruck combos I've a seen perfect there. Forward line seems standard. Backs are the concern for me. I'm all for going cheap but 5 rookie priced players will be hard to find. Also not a fan of the name either ???
Good start mate well done.

Can see your point and I had overlooked McKenzie so may bring him in.  Downgrade McVeigh to Smith and find space for Harwood.

Still room for improvement as only 13-15 keepers at the moment.

A lot will depend on rookies. You're hopeful of a lot cheap backs with that set up. Mids are strong. Looks good elsewhere.

Fall back is to dump sidebottom and upgrade rookies if necessary.

Nice team only issue as has been highlighted is finding 3 defensive playing rookies each week.  There are a lot around though so may pay off.  Defence is your weak line but as usual one line usually has to suffer and you win big time if it comes off.

More thought has gone into this to strengthen the backs.   Downgraded Sidebottom to free up cash to upgrade backs and Stef to Goldy.

Backs:   B Smith,  E Yeo,  Bartel, D Rich (all DPP)  Otten, M Brown, Miles and Adams as rookies
Gone a mid price DPP strategy in Backs as all over 500k backs are guesses and likely to be available later for a lot less.

Mids:  Quality and Value and similar to many other teams.
Pendles, GAJ, Sloane, Rocky, Libba, Crouch    Myers as midprice upgrader,  Rookies for starting potential and DPP links   Kennedy B, Hibberd M, Kerridge, Keays

Rucks,  Set and Forget
Goldy, nicnat,   Loophole King

Fwds:  Potential upside DPP players.   Dusty to come in if available probably for Greene.
Montagna, Bennell, T Greene, Leuy  R/F    Rookies,  Menadue, Petracca, Markov, McDTipi

Think this team has good balance of keepers and potential improvers.

Not a massive fan of Rich but he will be a good POD. Going Montagna from the start is definitely unique and could pay off. Overall i actually quite like this team, i have noticed that you have chosen more expensive rookies to fill holes which means you won't have to downgrade a premium closer to rnd1. The selection of leuey is an interesting one, given you have gone set and forget I dont see the value of him, he wont average enough to be a forward keeper and later in the season if you wanted a R/F backup you'd want Ryder. A cheaper fwd rookie would generate a lot more cash and probably only score marginally less, plus you would be able to upgrade crouch to a premium :)

Thanks EG.  Of the backs Rich is the one most likely to change.  I have 107K so could go up to Simpson.
Leuy I saw him making F6-7/R3 later in the year.    Your point on cash generation holds for him and also myers.  chance to downgrade them closer to round 1.

laughed at your comment at Greene over Merrett cause i was gonna suggest the opposite to you

Zerrett is so much a better player then Greene his lowest score was 69 last year which is rare even for premo mids he is very consistent i'm backing Zerrett ti be a top 10 forward

i also don't like Rich as a pick gets tagged easily

and Sloane is way to risky imo unsure how he will go with more attention teams will think if they shut him down they can win

put B Kennedy in the forwards looks like there will be plenty of decent scoring mid rookies u got the Kerridge link already

Thanks KB.    Agree Zerrett is a star just not sure he will be up there this year.  Greene is either going to be a genius decision or fall flat.     If Dusty available I am open to trading Greene to Dusty.    Good point on Kennedy.  Will clean up DPP links closer to round 1.

Hi Crowls, here's my take on your team;

DEF: Not sold on Otten at all.  Best ever avg of 76 (2009), has been injury plagued.  Find a rookie that can get on the park. Ciaran Byrne from Carlton should get some opportunity this year.

MID: Definitely not sold on Myers.  He's never gonna be a keeper, hasn't ever been fantasy relevant.  Get a rookie instead.

RUCK: Solid.  I'm absolutely a believer in not going cheap in rucks, want to not burn a single trade on this position so good work. Though.... If you trade King down to Wyatt you save yourself $14 900 and maintain DPP link to FWD's

FWD:
No dramas there, just have to wait like the rest of us to see which rookies to get on.

Best of luck mate!

crowls

Thanks DCAK.
With Otten I am willing to wait and see if he is a starter.  If so I am happy to aim for 65-70 avg and pick up 200k.  Also like C Byrne and is on my watchlist.
Had another good look at Myers and numbers show potential for possible 200K cash if all goes to plan.   Looking at some alternatives at the moment  Wells, Aish though prefer them as Fwd and Def.

Recent changes are Rich>KK ,  Rich really only a 80+ player where KK still has upside and could be 95+ if continues to improve.
And Montagna>Martin just because I believe Martin and Bennell will be 2 highest scoring Fwds this year.  Normally I dont have Martin but his consistency is improving and so is his tank.

Money Shot

Huge fan of the team.
Only thing is Menadue won't be playing round 1 due to him still being unfit from what I have heard. (Not 100% sure) but obviously can be changed easily enough!
