WXV International Draft 2015

Sorry for the delay guys! Only got home 30 mins ago, and between talking to parents and also discussing with Daz, been pretty busy haha. Now onto our pick!

For pick number 7 in the International draft, PNL select....... Ben Keays. *shocks* *gasps*



Had a few decent options here, but ever since I began researching the draft, I was drawn to Keays. He was a ball magnet for QLD and should be a solid mid going forward. I can see him being chucked on a flank early in his career for experience due to the Lions mids being packed, but we're hoping in 2-3 years, he'll become a regular midfielder for us once our elders move on. I love his potential and if he can continue to grow at the Lions, he has a bright future. Hopefully will add to PNL's legacy of early draft picks who are going to lead us to a Premiership one day :D.

I'm a ruthless, law abiding citizen. The rules state that if a coach or co-coach is online, they should pick or risk being allocated the next best available player. Seeing as that player is still available, Moscow get Weitering.

I mean, I could wait for Torp to get on and pick, but now that I'm on we're technically on the clock as well.

This bloke has some serious potential and could easily become one of the best players from this draft.

I thought some respect would be shown for the situation.

Well thats one of the cons of co-coaches then. You guys cant just change the rules because one of you dont want to pick.

I mean, I'm not the biggest fan of the rule either. I feel like it's probably better for co-coaches to have a nominated drafter for situations like this but it happened to us last year when ML came online and activated the 2 hours, I was out or asleep or something and the boys picked Hugh Goddard in the end, so I wasn't too fussed anyway.  :P

Purple was on line but has since gone off, I sent him a PM giving my views as I think there is an injustice here.

1) Rules are not in our rule book or in this thread so how can you enforce a rule that is not written in either place.  Know it has been assumed but not being written makes it hard to enforce.
2) jukes was implicit in his statement that Torp would be taking draft picks and as that is an instruction should be respected.

I have offered to defer my pick till decision if in favour of Torp is made allowing him to pick.

And I will have my pick up by 11.27 if you can not sort this out.
