Conca out for 10 weeks so does this bring some Richmond Rookies into play.  Menadue should be a virtual lock now.

Captain Gary Ablett's foot niggle is almost behind him, with the dual Brownlow medallist completing a power of running in the past week.

Kade Kolodjashnij (calf) and Jesse Lonergan (ankle) did not play the final pre-season match against Adelaide last Friday night, but should take their places against the Bombers.

Grigg also to miss the first week or 2 so Menadue is a certainty I would think

Jamie Elliott unsure when he will return

This one more important though for most SC players.

IN: @pearcehanley
OUT: @rockwiz38
... for tomorrow's @AFL Captain's Day. Rockliff doing full session in Bris as he overcomes hammy niggle.

So Rocky doing a full session tomorrow rather than Captains Day. Confirmation for Rd 1.

Captains day today

Ablett said he is playing rd1 100%

Jelwood said "I can't put a percentage on it, but I'm very confident that I'll be there" in reference to rd1

Rockliff has sprinted, Christensen doing heaps of work at close quarters on that finger and Green running around. All good at Lions @AFL

QuoteRICHMOND recruit Chris Yarran will undergo surgery on his troublesome left foot as the club attempts to fix an ongoing problem.

Yarran is expected to miss the first six weeks of the season after going under the knife to repair plantar fascia tissue.

Guessing Batchelor/Broad will be fighting for that spot?

Who provides the medical reports to these clubs.    Yarran, Daisy, etc  must piss off members when money is spent and draft sports given up and then the player doesnt get on the field.   $ per game doubles over what previous club was getting them on the field for.     Gets me started on Free Trade.  In the paper today how Free Agency has resulted in greater divide between the stars and the bulk of the players in American sports and we are duplicating it here in Australia.    Aslo free trade is a defacto way of reinforcing the dynasty of strong clubs who are in the premiership window as players who get FA from a lower club chase the opportunity of winning for a change.

So Yarran has gone from being a likely rd1 starter to now being out for 6? LOL Richmond

I'll be rejigging my backline - Broad comes back in

They recruited the mature ager for a reason, so he comes in for sure now if named rd1

They have but Batchelor had a respectable year in 2015, definitely upgradeable looking at the big picture however I'm still not sold on Broad. Would even be tempted to play Lennon in the role.
