Starting 18 is one of the most useless things in 2016. It's not 99 anymore where some of the guys on the bench come on for 5 minutes a quarter. While the cap is going to slice rotations, it's not like guys won't see the field. But going along with the exercise I've come up with this.

You've essentially got Jetta taking his spot in the starting 18 based on team balance. You could probably either move Masten onto the wing or forward flank depending where you line up Jetta, drop Schofield and move Yeo back. Hurn plays third tall like he did last year and you don't lose any of the penetration from the back half. None of Sheed, Duggan or Hutchings are ahead of him. If you are going to pick it on team balance then that's how I would do it since Masten can hit the scoreboard and most half forward flanks play as extra mids anyway.

Yeah we can squeeze him in ... But I think We look better with Jetta up on the wing.

Schofield was sensational last year holding up the backline given the loss of the Talls

If you wish to continue debating on Masten's place in the Eagles team please go over to the Eagles team board and into the best 22 thread.

Thank you

PORT Adelaide defender Nathan Krakouer is likely to miss the rest of the NAB Challenge after straining a hamstring at training last week.

However, the club expects him to be fit in time for round one.

If it was just a minor clean up for floating bone etc could comfortably be back for rnd 1. I had a couple and was back both times withing a fortnight, felt I could of played that week really but for the stitches, your knee feels that good. That's a best case scenario  so anything extra such as cartilage etc could extend it depending on what was done a trim or something more serious. If the Roo's are telling it as it is and round 1 a month away he should be sweet.
