Can't see myself starting him. Don't even think I would consider it with other value options ahead of him
Agreed,  prefer Crouch and Libba over JOM.

The fifth midfielder is going to be an incredibly important selection to get right this year as most important teams will probably have close to the same starting four. Not getting that fifth mid right, along with one or more poor rookie selections in the mids, could mean getting shuffled back through the pack so far in the early weeks that there's no way back without using valuable trades far too soon. Last year, in trying to gain an early advantage, I played Russian roulette, and lost. No more of that, I'll be going with the percentages, and running with the pack, but happy to go it alone when no-one's looking and a fat, juicy opportunity presents itself. I think I've found one...just waiting to confirm his price-tag...could be a massive POD...more to come.
only takes one insightful pick to gain an advantage!!.

I'll be sure to make 2 insightful picks then  ;)

Speculator

I doubt he can perform at a midfield premium level after a year off and having never done so before. Maybe 2017.

Ringo

Do not forget Suns also traded in Matt Rosa so will he take points of JOM.

They also traded out Bennell, so that means more points.
Swings and Roundabouts mate.

Points off Jaeger? I understand the theory of it but in reality it's not true

It was thrown up on here when Buddy went to Sydney

That year
JPK 114ave
Buddy 99ave
KJack 103ave
Parker 108ave
Hannebery 101ave
McVeigh 104ave
McGlynn 100ave
Malceski 105ave

If they're good enough players, they will score

JBs-Hawks

So we better not pick Fyfe because Bennell is off to Freo. Or any cats players cos they picked up 4 guys!

Rosa isnt even anything special let alone will he steal points off an inside midfielder

+1

If anything, Rosa playing well just provides Jaegar, Ablett, Swallow, & Prestia with another option to pass out to when they are in the contest.

Is there any truth in Jaeger's statements about having not yet talked to the coaches about where he will be playing/role 2016 and having to ''work'' his way back in or is he just being modest and will be straight back in the guts come R1 ?

Jager has been in the states and this is a statement he made will in the States which is probably where it has been picked up:

http://www.goldcoastfc.com.au/news/2015-11-11/jaegers-american-adventureand this is from that statement

"Everything’s going smoothly with my rehabilitation, and I’m on track to return at the start of the season. Whether it’s Round 1 or Round 5, I’m not fussed. I just want to make sure I get it right.

We had a few new midfielders step up in 2015, so I’m looking forward to slotting in, along with guys like Gary Ablett, David Swallow and Dion Prestia, who also missed most of 2015 through injury.

With our midfield depth, I might have to develop other areas of my game over the pre-season and learn how to be more damaging going forward, or to play off the wing or halfback. I’ll speak to the coaches when I get back to the footy club and see where they want me to play and pinch-hit."

Yeah just modesty, add a few strings to my bow ect guess he can't really say outright that some of guys who stepped up are going to have to make way for him and the other returning stars, at least that's how it reads to me , cheers.

Nige

I don't think they'll try to rush him back anyway given the severity of the initial injury. They seem to have the mid depth to cover him until he's perfectly ready.

Bill Manspeaker

must say, he's gonna look good in the RW&B next year  8)
