Just a thread to monitor this boys preseason, since most will consider him next year.

QuoteEverything’s going smoothly with my rehabilitation, and I’m on track to return at the start of the season. Whether it’s Round 1 or Round 5, I’m not fussed. I just want to make sure I get it right.

QuoteWith our midfield depth, I might have to develop other areas of my game over the pre-season and learn how to be more damaging going forward, or to play off the wing or halfback. I’ll speak to the coaches when I get back to the footy club and see where they want me to play and pinch-hit.

Was going to start him last year, definitely a no brainer!
Brad crouch will be the other interesting one!

Can't see myself starting him. Don't even think I would consider it with other value options ahead of him

Around that price? Crouch and who else?

I don't know about you, but I don't think we can start 6 gun mids - I have other positions to fill too :P

Ablett, Fyfe, Pendles, Rocky, Libba, Jelwood

I'd be starting them ahead of JOM or Crouch

Not many will be starting 6 gun premos man, too much value around.

Besides Fyfe, the rest of those guys will be undervalued so worth starting which is why I would take them over JOM

King Cripps

I don't think I'll be start Omera either. Libba and Crouch are ahead of him and I don't think I will be starting 2 let alone 3 of them.

Football Factory

If he does well in the pre season games I might  :-\  Probably get rested here and there as they wont want to take many risks with him. See what happens, a lot of time before round 1 next year.

quinny88

Libba > Crouch > Omeara
Don't think I can start them all with other value in super premos like Ablett, Rocky and Selwood

LordSneeze

I think i will start with him as it will be a good POD.

auscoyote

Wont be starting JOM but will have to pick one out of Libba and Crouch for M5.

Leaning towards crouch i think. Then theres Jelwood to consider too.

I might have to put in a bit more time this offseason and keep up with all clubs training updates. I need to make up for last years SC debacle. (My worst on record over a decade):-[

Mids so far = Fyfe, Gaz, Pendles, Rocky, ????, Myers, rookie, rookie, rookie, rookie, rookie.

_wato

The more people that say they won't pick him makes him an even juicier prospect if he can have a good preseason.

The fifth midfielder is going to be an incredibly important selection to get right this year as most important teams will probably have close to the same starting four. Not getting that fifth mid right, along with one or more poor rookie selections in the mids, could mean getting shuffled back through the pack so far in the early weeks that there's no way back without using valuable trades far too soon. Last year, in trying to gain an early advantage, I played Russian roulette, and lost. No more of that, I'll be going with the percentages, and running with the pack, but happy to go it alone when no-one's looking and a fat, juicy opportunity presents itself. I think I've found one...just waiting to confirm his price-tag...could be a massive POD...more to come.
