Having a quiet day after a big day yesterday fishing on the river with my eldest chasing Callop (Yellowbelly) with lures.
Will be heading to the St Kilda pub here in SA (by the sea hopefully no mozzies lol) for a few beers and tea with with Dudge/family and family and friends this arvo to celebrate it properly.

We were hoping for a big day mate as they got 23 ten days ago but it was hard work in the heat of yesterday, we got cooked a bit.
I was hoping to beat my eldest (Michael) he's a bit of a gun and has won a few comps and has the state record for yellowbelly in SA. I got off to a good start i was 2-0 up early and thinking how good is this, then he hit back with 3 in a row to go 3-2 up. I managed a couple more to go to 4-3 but the bugger banged out another 3 just before we were due to leave and beat me 6-4 for the day and he was loving it as i had given him a bit of trash talk haha. So only ten for the day and we dropped 3.
All tagged and released to be caught another day.
Was a great day as you can imagine fishing with your son, it's always good. Pulled the boat up under a nice big river gum at lunch time for some shade and some sausages fried up with onion cheese and BBQ sauce with a couple of beers then back into it. Great day.
