Heath Shaw, Alex Rance, Jimmy Bartel, Brodie Smith, Aaron Francis, Ciaryn Byrne (Mitch Brown., Michael Hartley)

Scott Pendlebury, Gary Ablett, Tom Rockliff, Brad Crouch, Tom Liberatore, Darcy Parish, Jacob Hopper, Jade Gresham (David Cunningham, David Okearny, Mitch Hibberd)

Todd Goldstein, Nic Nat (Mitch King)

Brett Deledio, Dustin Martin, Jack Gunston, Michael Barlow, Daniel Wells, Jonathon Simpkin (Christian Petrecca, Nick Kommer)

spent alot up front with 4 standout premos who should all be top 10 easy. Wells looks fit and super value, simpkin can score like crazy without the vest. Rucks gone who i think will be the top 2 scoring rucks of the season. Gone a little light in the mids which is a worry with only 3 premos.

not sure on Fyfe, selly injured. May look at sloane but the forward firepower hopefully makes up for it. Gone pretty strong down back with alot of essendon players. my bench guys probably wont score but they will get games.

With wells + Simpkin up forward at f5&6 you can easily drop a premium there...
The midfielder you pick will out score any forward you choose.
not sure how much cash you got left but deffinitely Gunston to kerridge and hopper could become sloane or someone like that.
Making same amount of cash but more points from what im seeing.
i like the rest of your team though! thinking that  Nicnat could be a better pick than stef martin now also. Eagles just need to play him with McGovern as backup which i believe was the plan last year!

Only reason i recommend more in the midfield is because there are more guys you can count on to be premo and up forward and back its easy to trade in guys with form and a good draw.

definatley considering it however the mid rookies do outscore the forward rookies and make cash alot quicker.

plus I will want Fyfe Danger Beams at some stage so dont want to load up too much.

Hey Holz, I really the look of your team and the POD's you have selected in Rance & Gunston. I was really interested in this set up as it looked extremely strong, but when i put it into the fan planner, it came out $234,800 over the salary (i could be wrong but just making sure with you?).

thats weird. Simpkin wasnt in the fan planner so I picked Daniel Gorringe for 222k. I was $10,700 under budget according to the fan planner so a tiny bit less for Simpkin

this is what they had for Simpkin

JONATHAN SIMPKIN ($223,400, Mid-Fwd)

The former Swan, Cat and Hawk is yet to be officially confirmed but we can still reveal his SuperCoach price and position for 2016.

After only playing one game (and scoring 26), Simpkin gets a nice discount and retains his midfield-forward dual eligibility. Simpkins’ scoring history has been cruelled by the sub vest with his best effort 68 in 13 games in 2013.

Like Kelly, Simpkin should come in and play a bigger role than he was playing at his former club. The midfielder averaged 27.5 disposals in the VFL for Box Hill and an incredible 38 per match in the Hawks’ finals campaign.

I just confirmed this with the SC gold team picker

I put Jed Anderson (223900) at F6 in place of Simpkin and it only left 13k in the bank without a F7 or F8

ok must be an issue with the fanplanner, will probably wait till SC opens then.

just made my first official team, have realised i have a very essendon heavy squad. not sure if thats a good move or not.

Grant Birchall, Alex Rance, Jimmy Bartel, Brodie Smith, Aaron Francis, Ciaryn Byrne (Mitch Brown., Mitchell Hibberd)

Scott Pendlebury, Gary Ablett, Tom Rockliff, Brad Crouch, Tom Liberatore, Darcy Parish, Jacob Hopper, Jed Anderson (F/M) (J Polkinghorne, R.Mathieson, J.Dunkley)

Todd Goldstein, Nic Nat (Cameron Loersch)

Brett Deledio, Dustin Martin, Michael Barlow, Craig Bird, Daniel Wells, Jonathon Simpkin (Christian Petrecca, Nick Kommer)

reasoning behind Anderson in the mids is i like the cheap forwards and I will probably use a wells bird or simpkin as a stepping stone to pick up a ultra premo. eg.  Downgrade a rookie and Wells to Fyfe or Selwood, switching ando into that forward line

not sure how i feel about leaving Mills out of the team.

Gone for that classic look Holz.
By doing the top rucks and not Lobbe you aren't as deep in the mids. If Lobbe scores well think you'll be off the pace initially.

potentially but that all depends on NN.

if he comes out really big which he is 100% capable of I could pull away even if Lobbe does go 90+

the mids are a little weak but i think the defence is pretty strong.

to counter the mids I have picked an expensive 3 rookie mids.

I could go NN to Lobbe and then Libba to Sloane.

I plan to jump on the fyfer early though like first 7 rounds. Burn 3 trades if i have to.

You've certainly gone expensive with the 200k types. Even if they all do well in NAB I don't think I'd start with them all. Too many I think...Crouch/O'Meara come in with one or two cheapies in their place.

Big Mac

I think you might have a few too many mid-price types. I feel like you could drop a few of them and get in another premium mid, and I know how keen you usually are to start with a strong midfield so it's odd seeing you with one of the weaker ones around here

Rucks are good I think, not really interested in Lobbe and I think NicNat + Goldy should hold you in good stead for the rest of the year

I like the Lids pick too, should be no.1 fwd so the extra cash really doesn't worry me too much

yes it was a very mid price team.

going back to my bread and butter

Jimmy Bartel, Grant Birchall, Elliot Yeo, Brodie Smith,  Aaron Francis, Ciaryn Byrne (Mitch Brown., Mitchell Hibberd)

Scott Pendlebury, Gary Ablett, Rory Sloane, Tom Rockliff, Brad Crouch, Tom Liberatore, Darcy Parish, Jacob Hopper (J Polkinghorne, R.Mathieson, J.Dunkley)

Todd Goldstein, Nic Nat (Cameron Loersch)

Brett Deledio, Dustin Martin, Michael Barlow, Jed Anderson, Jonathon Simpkin, Nick Kommer (Christian Petrecca, Matthew Allen )

got rid of most of my mid price headaches pretty much guns and rookie.

Anderson Simpkin just expsnive rookies same for Parish Hopper. Yeo Smith my only questionable premos but the backline always sucks. Will jump on Mcveigh after injury and Shaw when he has a few bad games.

not sure how i feel about leaving Mills out of the team.

I have omeara in my team for now ... But after sleeping on it I am thinking I will treat him as a placeholder and potentially downgrade him to allow myself to have 2 out of mills parish and hopper instead of just the one

That extra 100k could be really useful

eaglesman

Also no kerridge? Just an oversight or have I missed something ?

I see him as the biggest lock out of all rookies

will pick him over Allen but have no cash.

Recca can always go if not named round 1 but i have Ando Recca Kommer Simpkin over Kerridge. I love the cheap forwards

got to that point where you go wow that looks solid. NAB will probably destroy it but currently very happy with the squad. except maybe a weak midfield but do have mills parish hopper.

Bartel, Yeo, Birchall, B.Smith, Harwood, Frnacis (Brown, Byrne)
Pendles, Ablett, Rocky, Libba, Crouch, Mills, Hopper, Parish (Gresham, Mathieson, Dunkley)
Goldy, NicNat (King)
Lids, Martin, Barlow, Buddy, Petrecca, Kerridge (Eades, Kommer)
(70k in bank)

Backline: feel mcveigh shaw will drop and upgrades, dont really like any defeders. Birch should go 85-90 and worth D5-6. Bartel should lift and be a great D4. Yeo pretty cheap and worth D5-D6. Smith should get plenty of the ball with danger gone and if plays on the wing a decent D4-6. Realise Im probably going abit weak down back but very solid. Harwood  solid and not much more then pricy rookies the plan is to get in mcveigh/shaw with a early double trade.

Only 3 premos but will be top 8 easy. Libba Crouch agaian one will probably be a stepping stone to a fyfe early.I will burn trades early so Mills Hopper Parish after 3-4 price changes will hopefully by 300k+ so going to a 120k rookie pockets me 180k and can do harwood to mcveigh or Crouch to Fyfe etc..

Weak mid offset by this line with the two best.

Forward line will generate lots of points. Martin Lids just flat out guns. Barlow a falen mid premo could easiliy be this years Swanny. Buddy is just cheap and has a soft draw, can see him going 95+ in the first few months easy
