Bit of a downer that the byes are so late but it's a pretty nice spread I reckon

Feel the same it's not a bad spread. Only real problem I can see at the minute will be with the ruckmen and the round 15 bye.

At this early stage I'm liking the look of Martin, burger and Currie which are spread over the 3 rounds. Goody will have to wait till after round 15 I guess

Sauce NicNat could work for set and forget without spending the mega bucks but I reckon starting a cheap R2 like Luey might be the go with the goal of turning him into Goldy when the time is right

ROUND 14

Byes: Essendon, Melbourne, Port Adelaide, Sydney Swans, West Coast Eagles and Western Bulldogs
Hannebury, JPK, Priddis, Gray, Heppell, Dahlhaus, Gaff, Natanui, Jack, Wingard, Goddard, TMac, Bont, McVeigh, Picken, Parker, RMurphy, Franklin,

ROUND 15

Byes: Brisbane Lions, Fremantle, Geelong, GWS Giants, Hawthorn and North Melbourne
Goldstein, Danger, Shaw, Mundy, Ward, Sandi, Fyfe, Blicavs, SMartin, Gunston, Jelwood, Higgins, Hodge, Beams,
Rockliff, Bennell, Mumford

Looks okay to me... Except my initial thoughts for mids were GAJ, Pendles, Crouch, JOM (all Round 13) Libba(Round 14) and Rocky(Round 15)... A few defenders with Round 13 bye as well. Nonetheless looks easier to set up than what we had this year.

Sauce, Nic Nat and Currie off the top of my head looks a fair chance to be my starting rucks for 2016

Considering the byes will be later this year though, is it as much of a deal? No-one should really be having any rookies on the field, so even if you have 6 donuts one week, you should still be able to post a decent score.

Goldy and Stefan, lock it in 8)

Be a lot of people looking at this option RD.   Even if Goldy performs to last year his price will still drop in the first 5/6 rounds.   If he has a bad patch he will be an great trade up somewhere from round 6-12.

This is the kicker GL.   Dont think it really matters as much this year as we will have traded up so many rookies by bye rounds.    For me I am only briefly looking at bye issues when selecting my team.

Why would his price drop? If he comes out at averages 125+ after 6 round his price won't be much lower

Goldy is a definite set and forget pick.   The question is can he justify the dollars/point compare to alternative selections that free up cash to grab better mid/fwd choices.    I personnaly like Martin/NicNat with a Luey getting R/F status as d4 to d6 option.
