What's the plan now lads? Reckon we declare at 550ish? Or bat on to 600-650 then try roll NZ before the end of day 3?
800!!! Bat all day. See if they are good enough to survive 3 days.

Weather will be the issue now - Got through yesterday OK before the storms but they are predicted from mid afternoon today and even in morning tomorrow. So need to factor in as you do in Brisbane in summer.

I'd bat until tea and then have a roll
Agree Jay with one eye on weather radar from the west. If necessary declare half an hour before Tea.  Assuming with the humidity today that the NZ Bowlers do not run through us especially if Boult finds his tue form was very disappointing yesterday,

I agree, declare just before tea, have a couple overs at em. DO NOT RAIN GOD DAMMIT. I can shake my fist pretty hard

Approx where would a declaration before tea have us runs wise?

Just checked the BOM for Brissie and the rain looks a concern...

around about 600. should be enough

only worry is we make em follow on and spending the rest of the test in the field. but with a short around till the 2nd test that might not be ideal
